Black Hat World Newsletter
August 30th, 2026

Welcome to the final BlackHat World newsletter of the month!

Another particularly busy week here on BHW, and we've been working on guiding members who are looking for beta reviewers and offering free gifts on how to have their threads closed when they've had the engagement they've been looking for. More on this below.

Once again this week, Reddit does seem to be the main topic of conversation among you all. The major news that Reddit now appears to be requiring that everybody has to be logged in to read all content on the platform has irritated many - and the suggestion of an account purge has not improved moods either. Have you experience either or both of these?

Also discussed this week is Google reportedly making scraping more difficult to carry out, whether uncaptioned videos can still be a huge success on TikTok - and how are your manners when you're using AI....?

Top 10 Threads of the Week
Discussion topics from the community...

1. Is the Massive Wave of Reddit Bans Beginning?
Jr. VIP @GNews has experienced bans recently that are more or less unprecedented - so is Reddit actioning a huge purge of accounts or is this a one-off?

BHW's Tip of the Week
This week we have placed sticky posts in the Service Reviews & Beta Testers Help Wantedand Freebies / Giveaways sections relating to how OPs can request the closure of their thread if they have given away the slots and items they advertised in it.

After seeing reports from some members that they were still being contacted or receiving replies to offers and requests that were no longer open, we want to encourage members to request the closure of said threads once they have served their purpose.

You can see more details here and here.

Hello there, it's the first September BHW newsletter!

Before you bust out a certain Green Day song if you're not a fan of this particular month, please take some time to check out a pretty stacked News and Tips section below. We have plans afoot relating to post counts we would like to hear from you about, and our sellers are also given some guidance relating to file sizes, landing pages and DM sales protocol.

Whether you want to or not, you can't escape AI - but the debate still rages as to whether it's a huge fad that could burn out almost as quickly as it arrived. Said debate has been carried over into one of our most interesting threads this week and has generated the expected wide range of opinions.

Elsewhere we've also been asked whether Linkedin serves any purpose anymore as a learning platform, one member has their doubts about the solidity of Bitcoin right now - and we've also been challenged to own up about the fitness products we gave up on....

BHW's Tip of the Week
So, we have a few things to share with you and alert you to this week that we believe will be of interest to many or all of you:-

1) We're looking for the community's feedback on a proposal to eliminate posts made in our transactional sections from your post counts. This would obviously be a significant change and we're extremely eager to hear your feedback. You can read more about this proposal, vote on the poll and contribute your own thoughts here.

2) A small update and clarification has been made by our Marketplace team relating to the language of landing pages being linked to in sales threads. You can read about this adjustment here.

3) We'd like to remind our sellers that if you are contacting a member via DM about your services when replying to their Want To Buy or Hire A Freelancer thread that you MUST include a link to your sales thread in said message. Or you could be warned for cold selling.

4) And finally, another reminder to sellers - this time to compress your files when uploading files and images to your sales thread. You only have limited storage space, remember - so please don't burn it all on massive file sizes!

Black Hat World Newsletter
September 20th, 2026

(Hey guys, apologies for the double send today - we had a technical issue with some of the links which are (hopefully) all fixed in this version!)

Hey hey, it's newsletter o'clock!

More details below, and if you have any questions about any rules changes on the forum at any time, never be afraid to contact our Support team. They're lovely and very fragrant.

There has recently been an Instagram update and, as ever, whenever any major platform or service changes things it sends fear through the community - and with usually with justification! The latest change seems to have caused problems with SMM panels, and we'd be interested to hear from you if you've noticed such an issue.

We've been asked this week if ChatGPT Pro is worth the money, whether Twitter's creator program yields rewards that make it worth the effort - and whether we'd swap love for $100 million. They say it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all, but what about selling it for a huge mound of cash?

Oh hi again, it's BHW newsletter time!

Firstly, apologies for any glitches and issues you've noticed with the newsletter in the last few weeks. Thank you to users who have spotted them and reported them to us, allowing us to fix them quickly.
