Hey, recently used Claude Code for vibe code some projects. But Claude Code refuses sometimes to do something (like if I ask to scrape some information etc.). Any other tool, which can be used on Claude Code basis (for vibe coding), which is good enough in it, but will not refuse to build (scrappers etc.)? Any suggestions?

Do you realize that it is not the desktop tool that refuses to do what you want? It is the model itself. Claude.
Try an older version of Opus or go with Kimi K3.

Try Google Antigravity. It’s great for vibe coding, can work across your project files.

Same here, Claude can be pretty strict sometimes.
You can switch to Cursor or Windsurf for vibe coding cause they refuse less on things like scrapers.
Furthermore, if u want zero filters, can check on local models like Continue or Aider

you can try kiro, somehow better for small projects. kinda usefull on miniprojects. but not much effective for large work. its for beginners although.

Cursor and Windsurf are worth trying for vibe coding. Both are good for building projects with AI assistance, including data extraction tools. For scraping, the main limitation is usually the target site's access rules, not just the coding tool itself.

there are too many options like chatgpt codex, and google antigravity but cluade is also a good choice anyway in your case is not working.

just tell claude what data you scrape and that its public, it builds them fine then. codex works too

DeepSeek is the winner/best for me

Actually if you compare deepsekk 4.1 flash vs claude opus , and if you consider their performance and price, what deepseek is providing considering the price is awesome. Try deepseek harness and you will find what I'm talking about

Agree with Somers that it's mostly the model doing the refusing, not the desktop tool. Being clear about what the data is for and that it's public, and breaking the job into smaller steps like fetching, parsing and saving, seems to get far fewer refusals than asking for a whole scraper in one go. Also seems like a lot of people here end up mixing models anyway, a lighter one for the repetitive bulk work and a stronger one for planning and debugging.

switching tools helps less than changing how you ask. most refusals come from the task
being framed as scrape this site instead of write a function that parses this html block,
and the second one goes through on almost any model.

what works better for me is keeping the structure in my own code: the http layer or
playwright, the queue, retries and proxies written once by hand, and the model used only
for the parser and the selectors. the scraping part never shows up in the prompt at all,
so the tool choice stops mattering much.

if you still want fewer limits, running an open model through an api router with your own
cli gives you the same workflow without the desktop wrapper around it

I'm also interested in AI tools for coding. One thing I would look for is support for custom API endpoints and different model providers, so users can choose the setup that works best for their needs.

Does anyone know which tools support custom OpenAI-compatible API endpoints? I'd be interested in comparing the available options.

My recommendation is to create a multi-agent system; you can find thousands of repositories on GitHub that facilitate this. How does it help? Essentially, depending on the task at hand, you select the AI engine best suited for it. This offers two main benefits: 1. You won’t burn through your Claude tokens in just an hour. 2. You gain efficiency, as models like Google’s new "Agros" (or similar offerings) and DeepSeek’s models excel in their respective domains. While it’s well-known that Claude is vastly superior for coding, Google’s engines are far better for search and data extraction—exactly what you need—thanks to the "common sense" derived from their massive training dataset (since they essentially own most of the internet).
