I run an adult website that primarily attracts traffic from African countries. Currently, we receive around 30,000 users and 320,000 page views per day, yet we are still struggling to earn even $10 per day.

I previously tried using pop-under ads through Adsterra, but they significantly affected the user experience. Despite requesting a maximum of four pop-unders per user, the ads kept appearing too frequently and redirecting visitors away from the main site. This was hurting our user retention and growth, so we decided to stop using them.

I believe I cannot sacrifice the website’s long-term growth and user experience just to earn a $0.40 CPM. I have also tried native banner ads, but the revenue has been extremely low, averaging around $0.006 per page view.

I am now looking for better monetization strategies, particularly for a website whose audience is primarily based in Africa.

My questions are:

  • Which ad networks offer the best CPM rates for adult websites targeting African traffic?
  • Are there better alternatives to pop-under ads that can generate meaningful revenue without compromising user experience?
  • What other monetization methods would you recommend for this type of website?
  • With 30,000 daily users and 320,000 daily page views, what would be a realistic daily revenue target?
I would appreciate advice from publishers who have successfully monetized adult websites with African traffic. I want to build sustainable revenue without sacrificing the user experience or the website’s long-term growth.

I still don't understand it.

Adult sites are the sites that should generate the most income and are the ones that need the most work lately.

How do you get the videos? Embed?

this is are the tube site not membership type.

10 pages per user is solid engagement, so the problem is monetization, not traffic. african adult traffic pays pennies on pops, so i'd split by geo and push the few tier-1 visits to a separate placement. what's your tier-1 share?

Out of curiosity, what's the market line in that part of the world? Is it a growing trend? I typically associate these adult websites with countries with larger levels of disposable income. Not to say that Africa doesn't feature here - but they do tend to have arguably less spending power.

How does the pricing of access compare to US, EU, UK, and other developed nations for subscriptions? Do you have to price significantly lower than if you were targeting the aforementioned markets?

You have a very large number of visitors, take advantage of this, as there is clearly a high level of interest in your website. The next step is to figure out how to monetize it; for instance, you could categorize your videos into free content and paid content, allowing users to pay if they wish to watch more exclusive or premium videos.

Thank you for the trend link. I’ve learned a few things, though I’m still not sure how he’s achieving this. I’ll keep the link and explore the best ways to monetize my own site, too.

To answer your question, yes, it’s an English-language niche tube site. The domain is just over a year old, but I’ve only been working on it seriously for the past five months. I have a few backlinks, but I haven’t found a reliable way to acquire more without resorting to spammy tactics.

Actually, I’ve been thinking about this. In Africa, many people don’t have access to credit cards, so I’m working on an alternative way to accept payments. Once that’s in place, we can explore this direction further.

Hi there , what opportunities are you exploring right now? Any ad networks or on your own reaching advertisers directly?

With that much traffic, I'd analyze revenue by country, device, and traffic source first. African markets vary significantly, so optimizing placements individually could improve earnings.

Hi, Queen , you are absolutely right , we always give such advice to newcomers and help them in testing

With 320k views a day I'd run cams before anything else. Chaturbate whitelabel or a sidebar widget on your own affiliate code, geo matched, converted better for me than any banner. Keep one popunder on top, ExoClick or TrafficStars, and leave the in-player spot for a sponsor. The one thing that hurt me was stacking two popunders, bounce went up and the eCPM didnt.

Jimp, you are right .
Stacking two popunders usually just kills bounce and doesn’t lift ecpm. Better set: one pop slot and keep the in player spot for the sponsor .
Actually mediation tools do it : you know about Kadam smart mediation ? One pop tag , networks stay and each impression go to those network who pay more

Maybe it will help your situation if we discuss

I get 10,000 daily visits and make about $20 a day using only pop-ups—all traffic is from Latin America, via PopAds, Clickaine, and Wynq.
