I am re-uploading edited clips but getting stuck at 200 views. Will adding text/audio inside the native Instagram editor trigger the algorithm?

I don’t think editing inside Instagram alone will boost reach, the hook, watch time, and whether the content feels original matter more.

nah adding text in the ig editor isn't some secret algorithm hack lol
if you're reuploading viral clips, insta might still recognize the original footage

try changing the actual content

I don’t think simply editing existing content will be very effective compared to the original video. You can certainly draw inspiration from it, but make sure to add your own unique twist, that’s what will attract more viewers.

the flat 200 is the part id look at first. a content problem doesnt give you one flat number, you get spread, some reels at 60 some at 900. if your last 10 are all sitting in the same 180-250 band thats the account being held back, not the edit, and no text overlay fixes that. post stuff thats actually yours for a couple weeks and see if the numbers start moving at all

I’m new to this, but I was also wondering if editing inside the IG app makes any difference. Maybe it’s worth trying with different audios and text to see what works. Has anyone here tried it and noticed any change in views?

it is not necessary that the Instagram native editor will automatically lead to an increase in reach in this regard one needs to be careful about the hook duration and originality of the videos re posted video can fail even because of its fast scrolling

I have used Instagrams Native editor (EDIT) to edit reel without any significant improvement on performance. If you are stuck on reach, it's likely a shadow ban issue which may not improve even when you use the native editor. Sort out the shadow ban or something else to get backk on track

Using Instagram’s editor doesn’t guarantee extra reach. I’d focus on original edits, a strong opening hook, and relevant audio. If you’re reposting clips, add genuine commentary or creative value rather than just changing text and sound.

Editing inside the app adds metadata and avoids third-party watermarks, but it will not bypass Instagram's strict deduplication filters on re-uploaded clips or boost low initial retention.

If the native editor actually bypassed the 200 view jail, everyone here would just slap an invisible period on stolen reels and call it a day lol. You need heavier edits externally first.

Check the retention in insights first it might tell u more than changing where u edit the reel

I don’t think the editor alone matters much. Watch time and original content are more important.

A friend told me editing Reels inside Instagram could help. I haven't tried it yet, but will try soon. Maybe it's just the Instagram algorithm doing its thing lol, sometimes it's hard to understand what was going on.

IG has a chance to recognise reused content and can give you a shadow ban, or even worse a permanent ban.

Editing your videos makes sense if you want to increase your number of followers.
