Not sure how many of you have watched The Mentalist, but it's going strong this year! I watched it and a lil curious: do people like Patrick Jane actually exist? Have you ever met someone with such deep observational skills? Plus if you have watched it and loved it, tell me who was your first guess for Red John?

There was another show Physic I think two guys and they had mocked the mentalist though I liked it watch it you’ll like it
I am gonna watch it next. Thanks for the recommendation!
Yeah, The Mentalist and Psych!
I've actually met someone who seemed to know an unsettling amount about other people, only to find out that it wasn't really exceptional observational skills. He would go through people's garbage, try to borrow their phones, and snoop through their desks and personal belongings.
That's not sharp observation or impressive deduction. That's just creepy. I still get chills whenever I think about that experience. It really makes you realize that sometimes, what looks like extraordinary insight isn't so impressive once you discover how the information was obtained.

The Mentalist is one of my favorite shows: A smart and vengeful main character, interesting cases, and ---according to the YouTuber SpideyHypnosis (and me)--- well-written and mostly accurate to real-life techniques.
I never really took a guess at who Red John was; I am conflicted about who they ended up being.
I like season seven, but I much prefer seasons one--six.
My favorite quote from it: 'You can lead a man anywhere as long as he thinks that he is driving.' --- Patrick.
Recommendations for The Mentalist fans: Death Note, Code Geass, Dexter, Talentless Nana, Kaiji, Kakegurui, Tomodachi Game, Gnosia, Rokka: Brave of the Six Flowers, Danganronpa, Bones, Detective Conan, Liar Game.
