Newbie Tries Blogging in 2025 Journey

Here is my first journey.

I have done blogging in the past, like in 2020 but have not earned more than 100$ ever, This time I am doing it for the enjoyment of it and I have launched a website In a niche which I am interested in, So if money comes be it, Else this would be my personal Blog to Post about what I enjoy reading and researching.

What I have done So Far.

Yesterday: Purchased Domain, Installed everything and set up a site with logo, favicon, basic SEO, keywords, meta tags etc.

Today : I have done upto 10 blog posts and would do Up to 20 blog posts before removing the "Site is under construction" notice, What I plan is create quick blog posts up to 20 to populate the site and with this I am doing Chatgpt, But after loading all 20 blog posts with images and keywords/basic SEO. I would have to Edit them one by one.

So, Far I have approximately 10 - 13 blog posts, Tomorrow I will start editing them.

Social login setup - Done
Seo Basic - Done
Keywords, domain, Setup - Done

Edit Posts
Create Social Media Channels

The Reason I am posting in here, Is as you can see, I am somewhat Newbie In this, and Would appreciate Your insights and contribution.
I also want to hold my self accountable and not quit since last time I stoped working on a site that was generating 20 - 70$ a month.

Have you done any KW research or just gone with the niche you are passionate about? Also, how do you plan to monetize the website?

Since my site is for third world country, Most of the keywords are easy to rank for, there is basically no competition for almost all of the keywords that I am trying to rank for, also it's something I am passionate about, so what I do is search through google search recommendations and write about that subject if it interests me. That is basically my keyword research.

about the monetization, I was at first trying to connect and worry about AdSense and in my experience my previous site generated 20 to 70$ a month, With in first months of deploying and I didn't enjoy keeping on with it, since it was not my interest and the pay is generally very low with Google adsense in third world countries, So this time around, I have a plan to inject Affiliate as well as the AdSense and the possibilities or Ideas I have in mind are endless. But don't wanna worry about way too many things at once. Just focusing on going slow.

This time, AI and social media has changed the game, I also have other main sources of income which was not possible for me with my previous site to pay for things that would have allowed me to keep on with it. So I am planning to create social media channels that them selves could earn me money, I have more experience now in ads and ways to market the affiliate links and connect the dots, So to speak, So My main source of monetization would be affiliate + Social media Monetized channels + AdSense. Hopefully .

Good luck with your journey. My advice, take a look at grok, from my point of view it is better than ChatGPT when comes about blog content.

Shared several posts from The site to the Facebook page, I did a little advertisement for the page to get initial push of followers for the page and views : Done
Connected Google analytics to the site : Done
applied for Affiliate Network, It takes several days to get accepted into: Waiting their response.

some small amount of visitors from Facebook already


what would you suggest me for Offsite SEO ? Like what is the most crucial thing to look for at this phase and in 2025 ?

Master content for user intent and forget about off page SEO for now. Master the content first.

Which Affiliate Network will you apply for? Some of them have a minimum traffic requirement.

What do you use to find ideas for a blog?

Good luck with your work mate....

Since your blog is still new, you could focus on getting a few relevant backlinks from websites in your niche. Avoid building too many links at once. It would be better to earn links through useful content rather than rush into link building.

Starting with a niche you genuinely enjoy is a good approach focus on making each post useful and original before publishing more rather than rushing to hit 20 articles Consistency will matter more than the initial post count.
