A business wants to advertise in five countries, but the budget is limited. Would you launch in all five markets at once or start with one or two and expand after collecting data? I can see why launching might sound attractive, but managing different requirements and campaign performance can get complicated. How would you approach this, assuming the business is eligible to advertise in each market?

with a limited budget i'd start with one or two countries, not all five. otherwise each market gets so little spend that it's hard to tell whether the ads are bad or just haven't had enough data. i'd pick the markets where the offer and landing page already fit the audience, then track results separately. once one market starts bringing leads or sales at a reasonable cost, i'd look at expanding. are those five countries similar in language and pricing?

Stick to 1-2 countries with limited budget, but always collect some data and do some research before running ads.

I'd pick the 2 most likely countries relevant to my product or service and advertise there. If it had gone well after a while I would try out the third, after the fourth and lastly the last 5th one.

As everyone’s saying, starting with one or two countries makes more sense with a limited budget. You can see what works, optimize your campaigns, and then expand based on real data instead spreading the budget too thin.

For me personally, the question is how much you’re willing to lose on tests, but the testing speed and the likelihood of finding a profitable combination will be much higher if you test all geo simultaneously.

I’d treat the first 1–2 countries as a paid test, not a full launch. Find the market that gives the cheapest useful signal first, then move the budget there. Five countries at once can hide what’s actually working.
