Thinking of launching a fitness course for skinny guys. Is it worth pursuing?

Hey everyone,

I've been into fitness and lifting for around 6 years now. A lot of people who know me personally associate me with fitness, and over time, I've realised that I've learned quite a bit about training, diet, and building muscle.

The funny thing is, I don't actually spend that much time in the gym or obsess over my diet anymore. I've managed to make fitness a part of my lifestyle without letting it take over my life.

For the past few days, I've been thinking about turning what I've learned into a proper online course aimed at guys who are underweight or naturally skinny and want to build muscle.

The idea is to create a complete, beginner-friendly course covering workout routines with video demonstrations, easy-to-follow diet plans and recipes, tips for gaining weight, and other things I wish I'd known when I started.

I haven't figured out the business side of things yet, though. I'm not sure whether there's enough demand, which platform would be best for selling it, or how I'd go about marketing it.

I'm also considering pricing it at around $111, although I'm open to changing that depending on what makes sense.

To be completely honest, I'm motivated by the business and financial potential as much as I am by fitness itself. I'd rather validate the idea properly before spending weeks creating something nobody wants to buy.

I've been part of BlackHatWorld for a while, and people here have given me some solid advice in the past. So I figured I'd ask before jumping into this.

A few things I'd love your thoughts on:

Do you think there's a market for a course specifically targeting skinny guys who want to gain weight and build muscle without giving too much time into this?

Is $111 a realistic price point, or would it be difficult to sell at that price without an established audience?

Where would you market something like this? Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, SEO, paid ads, or somewhere else?

Would you create the entire course first, or try to validate the idea and get your first customers before building it?

I'm open to honest criticism, alternative approaches, and suggestions. If you've built and sold a digital product in a similar niche, I'd especially love to hear what worked and what didn't.

Thanks!

Hardkegainer is a real niche, but the proof is in before/after photos from non-genetic freaks; do you have any clients or just your own transformation?

I will be including my own pictures (before/after)

I'd be a customer as I am a skinny lad and struggle to eat big foods.

Probably not at $111 that seems quite expensive especially since there isn't any PT aspect involved.

im 65kg now and all i want to be is 75 or so.

You can go for it for sure. I've seen fitness being dominated by weight loss primarily. There's definitely a market for skinny guys.

I can relate with you, coz i was underweight as well earlier.

What do you think would be a reasonable price?

goog niche, fitness courses always work

What is your USP? This is a swamped niche. You need a good brand name with a back story.... Like that dude stephen covey had for his system "The 7 habits of highly effective people" his system outlived him, and he made a ton of cash from it while alive.

There is lots of examples of courses in all niches that nobody ever buys. There are only really compared a selelctable few that become note worthy. If you really want to do this, i suggest you plan and research for 2-3 months daily as dedicated as your fitness habit! lol

Also make your writing your own, as i don't think your ai spam? (its suspected) Its more likely you used a grammerly or ai to auto complete your first revision.

You need to master this while you research, as you can't show any bad automated form of copywriting. Everything needs to come from your heart and head.

Thanks for the feedback. My USP would be to keep the course as simple as possible to follow.

I feel like a lot of times people get overwhelmed by the info out there or just quit midway coz there is too much to do. So the course contents would be around the simplified/low-effort lifestyle i follow.

You are right about the research part. I have already started talking to people who are struggling with putting on weight. So the plan is to collect data from at least 15-20 individuals before i start working on the product.
