Hi, are you guys getting real converting visitors or just junk views these days?
And how are you linking out without killing distribution?
pls share with me your thinking about this, thanks !

Shorts can drive real traffic, but conversions depend on how closely the video matches the offer. I’d use a relevant CTA and a clear link in the channel profile, then track clicks and conversions separately. Views alone don’t tell you whether the traffic is valuable.

Shorts Drive in 99% shit Traffic, what works better is redirect your shorts to a long form video an from that long form video you get the traffic to whatever you want

Shorts generally bring in a lot of views but the conversion rate is low, you’ll get better results trying to push long form content since you’ll actually get viewers that are looking up your niche related keywords.

Shorts can bring real visitors, but views don’t always mean conversions. I’d focus on a relevant audience, use the related video feature or profile link, and track clicks to see what actually works.

Use a channel profile link; URLs in Shorts descriptions and comments aren’t clickable. I’d test a brief CTA and track website conversions alongside reach to see whether the traffic is worthwhile.

I’m focusing more on quality traffic and real conversions rather than vanity views. For outbound links, I keep them relevant and natural, adding value without overloading posts with links.

Depends on the niche. I’d focus on targeted traffic and keep links relevant and natural.

YouTube’s conversion rate is very low mostly junk traffic and the bounce rate is extremely high. While you can earn money from views (such as via YouTube Shorts), for affiliate marketing, you’d be better off using Fb.

For affiliate traffic to actually generate profit, it must stem from content that is directly relevant to the affiliate link; otherwise, it is essentially just "junk" traffic.

I’d focus on targeted traffic rather than views alone. Relevant links and useful content usually work better long term.

im my point of view, shorts traffic is fast-scrolling -> raw conversations are lower compared to long-form unless u presell them properly.
u can use a clean 2step bridge page or Telegram channel link in your channel bio, and overlay a clear text/voiceover promt in the video telling viewers to check the channel bio link ;)

Appreciate all the responses guys!
Really helpful tips on handling Shorts trafic and link distribution. Going to test this out. many thanks !!!

Short content generates high views but has low conversion rates due to poor quality traffic; it's best to use short videos as a funnel to redirect viewers to longer videos.

Shorts can bring lots of views but not always buyers. I'd focus on videos that attract people genuinely interested in the offer, then track website clicks and conversions. A clear, relevant link in your profile is better than forcing promotions into every video.

shorts good for getting attention but many viewers just keep scrolling without taking action.use them to introduce problem and give people a reason to check the full video or profile rather than pushing a link too hard in every clip.

Shorts can still drive some traffix but the quality is hit or miss. I keep the link out of the main video and just mention it lightly or point to the description. furthurmore, pushing the offer too hard tends to kill reach also

We get some decent traffic but not all of it converts, so we try to keep links relevant and not overdo them coz too many links can look spammy.

thanks for the solid insight everyone. totally agree that hard pitching links inside Shorts ruins distribution. hope you guys have a good day ahead
