New Reddit accounts: comments get filtered in big subs - which subs still accept low-karma/new accounts in 2026?

Hey,

I’m warming up fresh Reddit accounts and running into the same issue: in a lot of larger subreddits my comments get filtered/removed with no notification. From another account or browser the comment simply isn’t visible, even though it shows on my side.

I’m not looking for karma farms or vote manipulation — just subreddits that still allow new/low-karma accounts to comment and where comments actually stay visible.

What I’m trying to find:

  • Subs that are friendly to new accounts (low or no karma/age requirements)
  • Places where comments don’t get auto-filtered for brand-new accounts
  • Preferably active discussion subs (not dead ones)
  • Separate lists for comment karma vs post karma if you have them

Also useful:

  • Any subs that look open but quietly filter new accounts (so I can avoid them)
  • How you usually check if a comment was filtered

If there’s already a solid thread or list for 2026, link it. Otherwise drop the subs that are working for you right now.

Thanks

r/ChangeMyView still lets new accounts post if you include a credible source link, and I've successfully commented there with only 3 comment karma after linking a PDF from arxiv.org

I’d start with smaller hobby subs where you actually know the topic, way better than dropping generic comments into huge communities

Yeah hobby subs like hydroponics, gardening, coding, robotics etc are the best!
