Create a YouTube channel ?

Hi everyone
If I want to create a YouTube channel focused on short films but also want to make other random videos, should I create two separate channels or combine them into one channel?
for sure break them up, but trying to serve cinema style short films along with rndom videos on blogs would definitely overload the algorithm.

I think you should keep the two channels separate, doing so ensures both channel consistency and a professional image.

If your niche is the same you can create both Shorts and long form videos around that niche. Upload both types of videos on the same channel there’s no need to create two separate channels.

imo, consider if somebody who likes watching your short films also wants to see ur other videos.if there is some similarity, putting all of ur content into one channel will help u gather followers faster.on the other hand, if ur topics r entirely different, separatte channels may be better suited.

That's right, Short films inherently have very specific lengths, pacing, and audience demographics, could they drag down overall performance

is there a most natural way to guide viewers who enjoy my personality from random videos toward supporting polished Short Film projects without hurting the distribution performance of the main channel?

IMO I'd test both of the formats and would go with what brings the most views.

short films create an expectation therefore, i would suggest that you use the main channel to feature ur projects while using another one to experiment before confusing the audience.

Two separate channels is usually better. YouTube recommends videos based on viewer behavior, Keep the short film channel focused, and start the random videos on a second channel, or on one clearly defined series if you want to test an idea first. Thanks

I’d start with one channel if the videos appeal to a similar audience. If the random videos attract a completely different crowd, separate channels will make more sense later.

I recommend splitting your content into two separate niche channels. Each channel should focus on a specific topic, which will help retain viewers and build a loyal audience, allowing both channels to grow more consistently.

I think it’s definitely better to create two separate channels; having inconsistent content on a single channel makes it appear less professional.

One channel is easier to manage when you’re starting out. Try organizing videos into playlists and see how viewers respond. If the topics feel too different and attract separate audiences, create a second channel later.

I'd say start with one channel. You can post your short films alongside other videos. Focus on building an audience first, and you can always create a 2nd channel later if you feel it's necessary.

keep separate if the random videos are totally different from your short films.people who subscribe for cinematic stories might not care about the other stuff so having separate channels makes it easier to build the right audience for each.

Depends on the audience, really. Short films plus behind the scenes videos or filmmaking tips? I’d keep those together.
Short films plus unrelated gaming clips or random vlogs? I’d split them. Think about whether someone who subscribes for your films would actually want to watch the other stuff too

The random videos are unrelated to short films, I’d create two channels. It keeps the audience focused and makes growth easier to track.

I will join those who support the idea of two channels.
One way or another, the work is the same, but the coverage is greater )

If your videos are of the same type, you should create a YouTube channel. But if the videos are of completely different types, it would be better to create separate channels.
