How long do you usually wait before judging whether an SEO strategy is working?

Every strategy takes its time but i think you should give 8-10 weeks to actually get it going and see results.

Switching my routine after astridmonroe's post. I'm done judging a strategy by week two rankings. Now it's indexing and impressions first, and rankings get a full three months.
