I've seen people put a lot of money into paid ads for finance related services, but not evry business gets good results. Competition can be expensive, and there are also policy requirements to consider.
I'm curious how people compare Google Ads with SEO or other traffic sources for this niche.
If you were starting a finance project today, which channel would you test first and why?

There are many examples of SEO analogues, for example, YouTube promoted through Google Ads. The right actor and a clear presentation will do the job.

yep they are but finance ads get banned easily so you need cloaking

also tier 3 countries are more complicated

Google Ads can work for finance only if u properly setup cloaking, especially for high-intent keywords. But the main challenge is not cloaking but CPC and lead quality.

It all depends upon what finance sub category you are in like loans, insurance, trading or crypto?

Start by understanding long tail keywords, proper conversion tracking and landing page optimization before playing with ads and cpc or else u will loose money in finance.

if it's a finance service people are already searching for, i'd probably test google ads first with a small budget. i'd focus on a few high-intent keywords and track actual clients, not just cheap leads. the cost per click might look scary, but what matters is how much you're paying to get a customer. i'd also check the verification rules before launching anything. seo would be my longer-term play. what kind of finance business are you thinking of?

It's well worth it, but i think that depending on the niche, meta ads might be more effective. Also, if you have a real offer, make the finance validation before beginning to run ads, it'll avoid many hassles in the long run.

In my opinion, Google Ads is great for high-intent leads, while Meta Ads can generate leads at a lower cost and higher volume. The best strategy is to use both based on your business goals.

For the finance niche, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and SEO are the best marketing channels. However, SEO is still the best long-term option. Paid advertising in the finance sector is challenging because ad accounts can easily get suspended, and advertising costs are relatively high.

Of course, google ads is very good. Its the best ppc model in my opinion.
