The Deadliest Problem of SEO

What are the problems caused by a large amount of repetitive content on product pages?
I am currently facing a challenge because I work in packaging boxes, and I feel that the product details page descriptions are almost the same!! I feel like I'm doing repetitive pages every day (3 days of new sites) and collecting them casually!!!
repetition is inevitablle when the items are similar, however including more specific information such as uses, sizes, materials can make the pages more useful. are the keywords on these pages different or r they all pretty much the same?

I understand your anxiety and fatigue. Creating hundreds of similar pages for boxes that differ only in size or color is a huge and monotonous effort. It feels like you're doing nothing, and it really does burn you out. From a search engine optimization (SEO) and user experience perspective, you're absolutely right: the chaotic accumulation of identical pages creates serious problems.
Yeah, creating all these pages would definitely be boring and time-consuming, and most of them would not be worth much. I would go ahead with a common template but create unique pages if there was something worthwhile about each page.

In packaging, there may be common specifications that will always appear, but the purpose of usage, sizes, materials used and customer requirements must create something unique for each page. In my opinion modifying some words will not help improve the content.

Add a feature to your website that allows users to examine and compare two different products, and explain this functionality to your users through a written description.

The biggest risks are keyword cannibalization and Google refusing to index the pages. When dozens of packaging box pages share nearly identical text, Search Console will usually start throwing them into "Crawled - currently not indexed" because Google treats them as low-value duplicates.

A few quick fixes:

1) Differentiate by use case: write a short paragraph explaining what each specific box is best suited for (e.g., heavy shipping, cosmetics, apparel, food packaging).
2) Use structured bullet points for unique technical specs like dimensions, flute size, board grade, and weight capacity.
3) If the products are just slight size or color variations, group them as variants under a single parent product page or set proper canonical tags.
