Any sites to pick up easy, low pressure, python coding jobs mainly for fun and to learn more and get a bit of pocket money at the same time?

I have been living off passive income for several years now from previous marketing work and resting on my laurels. I really have no motivation to earn MORE MORE MORE like some people. Once my basic bills were covered I lost interest in working more and so just been coasting on that passive income.

I know full well it could dry up any time but that doesn't make me want to work still.

The other day I made a script in python for something related to a game which I just wanted for myself. I hadn't done any coding since I stopped the work a few years ago. After a bit of swearing having forgotten how to do some stuff and it just being on the tip of my mind, things came back to me after only a few hours and I remembered just how much I enjoy coding just for the sake of coding.

When doing it for IM I did just as much to scrape by to get the job done for whatever bot I was making. Well not scrape by, I did some great stuff personally imo that is, and was very happy with results, but I mean I only scratched the surface of what python can do because I was only doing it for botting IM so there is so much more I could learn about python.

I am thinking now to do it for fun and to learn more python to get better at coding. I wonder are there sites where you can pickup easy jobs for people who know no coding and just want simple stuff? I don't want anything pressured like they must do x for such and such deadline or whatever or career coding like guys on stackoverflow.

Any sites which would be equivalent of fiverr but for python coding? where I can pick up simple jobs at my leisure? Of course people will want them done to a deadline but if the work is simple and I am not doing it to pay the bills, just for the enjoyment of coding then I think it will be low pressure in that case as I don't need to impress them or need the money but I am also thinking I can be building up my python coding in case my money does dry up sometime so I could have build up my skillset in the meantime.

You could try scoping out some intern position through LinkedIn, it’ll be pretty hard to find something that actually pays consistent for learning devs as these days there’s really no shortage of experienced ones looking for gigs.

Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, and everyone else with internet access are competing against you. They do have the necessary skills and charge peanuts for their work.

I don't think you'll find anyone but a few (soon-to-be) angry clients, and even then you gotta get super lucky.

What you mean soon to be angry? why you dissing my coding?

I will just learn at home for fun then.

Who would hire a rookie dev? You gotta sell yourself far and above your current skill set, and that likely won't end well.

Another lounge post in this subsection says someone with 10+ years of development experience can't get a job in this field, so your chances of making money are slim to none.

And as @the_mago mentioned above, vibe coding has made things so easy that nobody even needs you anymore.

So my use on this world is over? Time to shuffle off this mortal coil?
