Hey everyone, what's currently the best strategy to organically grow a Telegram channel without relying heavily on paid ads? Is cross-promotion with similar-sized channels still effective?

On Telegram, you can join relevant groups and promote your channel there; at a very low cost, you can attract a large number of followers to your channel.

Collaborating with channels in the same niche is a great way to grow without spending much on ads. You can exchange shoutouts, create joint content, or recommend each other’s channels, as long as the audiences are a good match.

I’m still new to Telegram growth, so I don’t know much about it yet. Cross-promotion sounds like a good idea, though. Has anyone tried it and seen good results?

People often leverage cross-promotion within similar groups to attract a target audience that is genuinely interested, helping to grow a Telegram group at a lower cost than running paid advertisements. I find this approach quite compelling and actionable; try engaging actively in some of the groups you already follow.

Cross-promotion can still work if both channels share the same audience. I’d also post useful content people want to forward, keep a consistent schedule, and track which posts bring new subscribers who actually stay.

If you have valuable content then yes cross promotion is a choice. Not many collaborators will work with you if you've got garbage quality of content.

Cross promotion can still work well if both channels share a relevant audience. I’d also post useful content consistently and promote the channel in communities where it fits naturally. Targeted subscribers are more valuable than raw numbers.
