is automation on facebook even possible in 2026?
it seems their protection is very smart and detects everything

your experience?

Man, even if it is, i'd avoid that at any cost, unless you use it on a burner profile. Facebook became a lot rougher lately because of all ai generations, and almost anything will hit you with a selfie verification. And it's not even worth buying a pre verified profile to do that, because once fb detects automation, the account will go down anyways.

It possible, but generally all publicly available tools are getting detected, privately built automation is still usable.

Facebook automation is still possible in 2026, but group keyword auto-replies are tricky since Meta removed the official Groups API. Unofficial bots can trigger spam restrictions or checkpoints. Keyword monitoring with manual replies is the safer option.

For FB I use Zennoposter. It can do this in the easiest way. It's beginner-friendly and Claude or ChatGPT know how to use this tool very well. You can use browser Chromium/Chrome/Firefox with sophistical unlimited profiles

automation is still possible but facebook does appear to have rules about repettitive actions, especially when it comes to groups.be cautious with the use of keyword triggered replies bcz they can easily appear spammy. are u trying to automate replies in ur own group or from various public groups?

Keyword replies can work but it is hard to make every reply fit the conversation i would use alerts and reply manually to keep things natural.

it has been noted that there is the potential for difficulty in such systems due to varying degrees of group interaction. although this system works well initially, there is the risk of too much feedback leading to difficullties down the line.i would choose a system that allows one to filter nd review posts before replying.

Automation is possible, but Facebook limits automated activity, especially in groups. I’d stick to Meta approved tools and official APIs where supported. For keyword-based replies, check the specific group and messaging features available, since group automation is more restricted

This does happen, but it rarely lasts long, as Meta is very quick to detect AI-driven bots, and the accounts are promptly locked.

lisati has it right: split the job. Automate the finding and keep the replying human. Auto-replies are what Meta flags, and group admins delete generic bot comments anyway. As another reply asked, it matters whether this is your own group or public ones, since in your own group Meta's official tools cover more. A short human reply within the first hour beats a fast canned one and converts better. If you only need the finding part for groups you are in, disclosure: I built BuyerSpotter, which does just that half. It flags posts where someone asks for a recommendation and you answer yourself.

Ye, automation is still possible, but it depends on the task. I would use Meta's official tools where available and avoid mass auto-replies in groups, as they can trigger spam restrictions.

automation is definitely possible, but depends what you're trying to automate. if it's replying to group posts based on keywords, that's where things get tricky. even a proper mobile IP won't stop Facebook treating repetitive comments as spam. are these groups you own or other people's groups?

Some automation is possible through Metas approved tools but auto replying to specific keywords in Facebook Groups is more restricted stick to official integrations to avoid account restrictions.

Facebook’s spam detection system can quickly identify actions that aren’t performed by humans, and your account will likely be locked sooner or later.

Yes. I feel like it’s extremely strict, my account is perfectly normal, yet I’m constantly being asked to verify it.

Facebook automation still works for scheduling and managing messages, but keyword-based replies inside groups are harder to automate reliably. I’d look at approved tools first and use keyword alerts to find relevant discussions, then reply manually to avoid risking the account.

I think it’s still possible to automate responses in Facebook groups, but you mentioned using a large number of fake accounts—be aware that Facebook is currently cracking down quite strictly on this, so it’s very easy to get flagged and lose those accounts.

Automated responses are very convenient and time-saving, but for me, they lack genuine interaction. they don’t foster a real conversation.
