How Much Can One Bad Sending Domain Affect Your Other Domains?

I’m running cold email campaigns using multiple domains connected to the same admin account and email infrastructure.

If one domain gets a bad reputation or gets flagged for spam, how much can that affect the other domains?

Does the damage stay limited to that domain, or can it also affect other domains using the same Microsoft 365 tenant, mailboxes, IP, or sending infrastructure?

Would love to hear from people who’ve actually dealt with this.

It can affect more than just the sending domain, especially if the domains share the same IP or infrastructure.

The impact depends on what got flagged and how the provider handles it.

As of me , multiple domains share same sending IP, poor IP reputation affects deliverability across them. And for bad domain reputation won’t automatically tank others, even within the same tenant. Here, real risk depends on how sending infrastructure is shared.

but to be frank, IP will be the factor that you need to consider when it come to deliverability, although having one domain flagged will not affect the others in the same tenant account. In addition, it will be best to check your bounce rate nd spam complaint for each domain.

The impact can spread beyond one domain, especially if multiple domains share the same mailboxes, IPs or Microsoft 365 tenant.

Keep domain reputation monitoring separate, maintain proper SPF/DKIM/DMARC and prioritize consent based, low volume outreach to protect overall deliverability.

it is sure to spill over even if all domains have the same ip nd sending system in place. it does not happen automatically but sharing the same infrastructure can create issues even for other domains as well.i would keep my eye on delliverability of all domains, not just the flagged one.

It spills over fast if they share tenant, auth, or sending ip.

It can spill over depending on how everything is set up. A bad domain reputation doesn’t automatically tank every other domain, but shared sending IPs or similar sending patterns can create problems across the setup.

If your domains are on the same server and one gets blacklisted the ip wont be totally burned but its reputation definitely takes a hit. Spam filters pick up on that too. I've seen clean domains on the same box start landing in spam just because the shared IP got flagged. Getting that reputation back can take weeks so its probably better to keep risky senders on separate servers

The damage can continue to propagate if the tenants, IPs or sending patterns are similar id ensure that my outreach domains are kept separate especially as far as monitorinng their bounces goes
