Hello forum members! I have been here for over a year and this is my first post. Like the title of the post says, I have been wondering if there is a way of forcing Google to rank an article high on top (it's an article on a relatively high DA site where I bought a publication space). I have been trying to use many different IPs to find the article and then clicking on it hoping that its ranking improves. The problem is, I have not been seeing any changes. I know Google doesn't like this kind of 'click through manipulation', and I'm probably naïve in current SEO tactics but I would appreciate members' take on this. Eager to also know if there are new 'hidden' methods that people know to get around it.

If your article is indexed, and appearing in search results, then you just need backlinks from good websites, a nd for sure, a good internal linking strategy.

Thanks bro for your advice, yes, the article is indexed already.

clicking your own article from different ips sounds like a lot of effort for something that may not even work. have you checked if the article is getting impressions in search console? that might help you figure out if google is showing it for the keyword at all or if the page isn't getting picked up yet.

I did parasitic SEO, so the article on another person's website

I’d avoid repeatedly clicking the article just to influence its ranking. Google can detect artificial engagement patterns, and they may not lead to lasting improvements. I’d focus on making the article more useful, matching the search intent, and improving internal links and relevant backlinks instead.

Google can detect unnatural engagement patterns, so using multiple IPs probably wastes time. Strengthen the article’s relevance and authority rather than chasing artificial click signals.

Keyword stuffing or fake ctr clicks using basic ips will just get your page ignored or penalized by google. Build a few niche relevant contextual backlinks directly to that guest post if you want to push it up the rankings properly.

Since its someone elses site tracking performance is tricky I’d monitor keyword rankings over time rather than relying on clicks to push it up

Clicking from random IPs does nothing useful. If the post sits on page 3 there is barely any search behaviour behind it for a click to attach to, and datacenter or proxy IPs are easy to discount. No change after weeks means drop it.
What moves a bought post is links to the post itself. Contextual tier 2 from relevant pages with a few varied anchors, plus an internal link from the host site, like a category page or a related posts block, since that site already has the authority you paid for. Also check the title and H1 carry the exact query. Plenty of guest posts rank for nothing because the keyword is not in the title.

You're probably wasting time. High da doesn't mean that specific article has any ranking power. Check search console if you have access
If it's buried past page 5 fake click arent gonna push it to the top

Clicking from different IPs won't reliably improve rankings. Focus on search intent, content quality, indexing and relevant backlinks. A high DA site doesn't guarantee that every article will rank well.

Use the keyword naturally in key places: title, H1, URL, the first 100 words, and one or two subheadings. No need to repeat it beyond that.

Honestly, fake clicks won’t help much. I’d focus on search intent, internal links, and getting real traffic. There’s no reliable shortcut to force rankings.

Clicking your article from different IPs won’t reliably improve rankings, as Google can detect artificial engagement patterns.

Focus on strengthening the article with relevant backlinks, search intent optimization, internal links and quality content rather than trying to manipulate CTR.

Rotating proxy IPs to click your own result is unlikely to do much. Search engines can spot unusual traffic patterns and simply ignore signals that look artificial , especially when there's no real engagement behind the clicks. A sponsored post on a strong domain doesn't guarantee rankings either if the page itself doesn't cover the topic well or match search intent. I'd put the effort into relevant contextual links and getting actual users to the page instead of trying to manipulate click signals

I'll admit the fake-click idea sounded tempting at first. OnlineProxy's point about search engines spotting unusual click patterns talked me out of it. Back to fixing the actual article, I suppose.

IMO, the DA of the website will not make an article stand alone and random clicks can always be wasted on something else hence, I would concentrate on internal linking from pertinent pages and see if ur article is getting impressions from the right keywords.
