hi BHW community im working on my offer for a campaign I launched last week so far results are good but not enough to call it a "successful" campaign today researching the competition I realized that something that could've make my cost per booked appointment higher is my offer currently im targeting real estate agents offering marketing services and I've seen my competitors and they're offering "pay per listing" type of offers does anyone familiar with the market or this things give me advice on what should I do? this is my first time running ads and need experts opinions, just for context the campaign I launched recently isn't bad at all im in process to optimize it but im planning to test something different by working on my offer and launching new ads with new messaging, thanks

Wouldn't necessarily switch to a pay-per-listing offer just because competitors are using it. Though in general, it's good to see what the competition is doing. Unless you've got eye for finer detail and see the other elements at play that make them work for said competition, it's a little tricky to just go with what you see. If your current campaign is already getting decent results, you could test the offer and messaging separately rather than changing everything at once.
More importantly,
The bigger question is what makes the offer easier for an agent to say yes to. If the pay-per-listing model reduces their *perceived* risk or makes the ROI easier to understand, that's probably why it's working for your competitors. Food for thought.

I’d test the pay-per-listing model while keeping your current campaign running. Compare the cost per booked appointment and conversion rates before deciding which offer works best.

Of course, you can create more than two simultaneous campaigns to compare their performance, then identify the one with the best results and increase its budget.
This means you are optimizing your budget in the most effective way.

Yeah, it makes sense to run both simultaneously. Just compare the appointments booked and the quality of leads, not just conversion rates before moving the budget over.

testing pay per listing offer without turning off your current campaign.compare cost per booked appointment and conversion rate for both so you can see which one actually performs better.

I think you need to break down your budget into smaller parts to experiment and see which works better, instead of just throwing money around and letting things run their course.

Real estate agents get pitched generic marketing all day, so pay per listing or pay per closed deal works way better because it shifts all the performance risk off them and instantly boosts your conversion rate on the LP.
