Has anyone else noticed that Facebook product advertising costs have been quite high in recent years, yet the results aren't as good as they used to be? Given those costs, should I consider investing in a different platform?

Definitely noticed it. Facebook ads are not what they used to be. I would test google ads or tiktoks with a small budget first instead of putting all my money into meta.

You are right, Meta has not been up to par like we expected. I tried TikTok Ads and the result is astounding. I had the initial issue of linking my profile to TikTok Ads manager, which is a common issue all round now. But as soon as you get that sorted out, you will get results especially if your Ads are reels.

It's extremely expensive and ineffective; I'm fed up with Fb. I'm currently switching to Google for advertising the costs are much lower than Facebook's.

With the rise of numerous competing platforms, the Facebook user base has declined significantly; consequently, you need to optimize your competitiveness and advertising campaigns to effectively reach your target audience while managing costs. Facebook remains an effective channel, but it now requires a more selective approach to your customer base.

Meta has become definitely more expensive as the time passes, however, if you've got good offers for your products and/or services and you can maintain a ROAS of 1x of higher then it is worth continuing it. The continuation of it is because if you have a product your prospective audience can buy other products from you, and if you have a business, 1x ROAS per year is good because you'll get to keep your clients for far more years if they are satisfied.

It is true that Meta has been far less effective recently than in the past; however, one cannot overlook such a high-potential market capable of long-term viability. With the right policies and approach, it can deliver excellent results across a variety of products.

I’ve noticed that too. the fb user base isn't as large as it used to be. You might want to try advertising on tiktok or ig instead.

I think I'll give TikTok a try, as I've noticed that users nowadays really prefer shopping on that platform.

I was really discouraged by constantly pouring money into Meta without getting the results I expected. After reading your comments, I feel confident enough to switch to TikTok.

Is the cost significantly lower? My product is already very familiar on fb. I wonder how much time it would take to switch to gg.

I think so too; users are gradually shifting to the TikTok platform, but TikTok is stricter regarding product-related violations.
