I have been looking at different link building approaches for casino sites, and Im curious how others view directory submissions.

For me, relevant and properly moderated casino or igaming directories can still have a place, especially for newer sites. they can help with:

Building initial niche relevance
Diversifying the backlink profile
Getting referral traffic when the directory has an active audience
Supporting brand visibility

I would not go for hundreds of random directories, though. Relevance, quality, indexing, and actual traffic matter more than submission volume.

Would you still include selected casino directories as part of a broader link-building strategy, alongside guest posts, niche edits, PR, and brand mentions?

Yes, I would certainly consider the inclusion of selected casino directories in a support strategy, especially new websites.

However, what really matters is relevance, traffic, and quality, not quantity.

This could be combined with guest posting, niche editing, and digital PR.

a few man.. 5 or 6 that actually get gamblers browsing them, the rest are link farms with a casino skin. i check the listing page is indexed before paying, half of them put you on a page google never crawls. for rankings they did nothing for me. they helped a new casino site look normal in its first 2 months while the real links came in..
