Hello there,
this is gonna be my SaaS journey to get consistent traffic and have some subscribers along the way.
I made my SaaS out of necessity, I used to work at a company and we wanted an app to solve a problem and we googled it and found none.
The idea stuck in my head and lately I started working on it, now it's a SaaS project.
You hear from YouTube videos and Gurus they say the SaaS idea needs to come from a problem you already faced right? well i'm gonna see if they're correct or not because I was willing to buy the product if a such idea existed as SaaS.

sooo yeah these are the numbers so far:
Google search console:
1791844363338.png

It started listing the sitemap, it takes a couple of days until it's fully read.
I started listing my SaaS in startup directories, they don't give much of a traffic but overall I think it doesnt help publishing my URL there.
one thing I noticed is answering Quora and Reddit content related to my SaaS and linking my url is helping alot because immediately google gemini started checking my reddit answers when i asked about my SaaS name, crazy how fast gemini is getting new sources to read it from.

These are my viewers but I think they're not corrects, i have many more visitors, like 80 at least for day one.
the one good thing about it is they spend at least a minute on the SaaS because I have a live demo you can play with
I dont know if it makes a difference having people spend more time in the site.

So yeah I will updating this thread once in a while, I will try to make it daily but I can't promise

Have you shown the demo to anyone from your old company? I'd be curious whether they'd actually use it now, and what would stop them from signing up.

Good luck to your journey.

When I launched a niche tool, the first ten users came from people already complaining about that exact problem in forums, so I'd track where your old coworkers vented before building any traffic channel.

People spending more time on your site doesn't automatically mean better Google rankings. Since you have a live demo, you could track how many visitors actually use it and sign up. That would tell you more about whether you're getting the right traffic.

Yes I have an they're waiting for me to go see them again, I wanna spend more time testing all the functions make sure they're working properly before going.

How do you do that?

Now for the update:

most of pages are getting indexed, I had one blog post and search engine/AI engine wasn't able to read content, I fixed my coding bug now they can read blog content.

1791910225952.png
all the traffic today were bots and crawlers I guess it's a good thing to have.

What I did: I went to potential business that might be interested in my product and went to their contact us page they usually have a contact form and I proposed my SaaS there, it's a stupid idea but I was so curious to try it probably wont do it again
I'm gonna make a well coded, actually usefull free tool in my SaaS website to gain traffic from it from google.
the tools are also indexed so I'll try to gain consistent traffic from that I heard having free tools on site sometimes is better than having hundreds of content.
I answered more Quora/Reddit content just to be more out there,
and I scheduled a product hunt publish day I don't know if it's that useful but hey it's counted as a backlink right?
As you can see from this update you might have noticed my progress is slow and might take months if not a whole year to actually get respectable traffic but I don't care honestly
I'm doing it because I want to, the problem with founders nowdays is that they have their own life struggle and they're hoping their saas to be a lifesaver and when it doesnt get any result in a matter of month they get depressed af
so don't treat your product as a thing to rely on instead think about it as a fun experiment with the internet.
by the way these are all my own opinion i might be sooo wrong
please give me any cool idea of yours if you have a trick to get steady legal traffic.
Peace out boys and lads

Looking forward to seeing your progress. Just wondering, are you worried about someone finding your idea and making their own version with ai? seems like a big concern these days with how good ai has gotten at remaking tools/saas products.

I think it has gotten to a point everything can be cloned nowdays why would I worry? I don't care if they would actually do it tbh and if they did they would have to clone a web platform, a desktop application and an android mobile app all 3 together.

UPDATE 3#
things are slow just as I expected but it's going good so far
I have set up my SEO traffic from 3 different source:
1- mywebsite.com/solutions/different-vertical
I am making different landing pages for each sector of business and how my saas helps
I currently have 2 solutions pages, I am not trying to spam many pages at once instead, I am focusing on creating an actually usefull content, with usefull info, eye pleasing UI.
2- mywebsite.com/tools/free-tools
I have set up free tools that are close to my business it's a way to drive possible traffic
3- blogs
Like I said before I also do blog about my app and what it does generally

The free tools and solutions weren't indexed by google so I had to put them urls myself one by one to be indexed.
I will fix this by fixing my sitemap
I have made a clone of each page I have to another language beside English

Next to do: write one or two more articles, maybe a another solution page?
I am also looking for ways to do guest post that isn't expensive, find other websites to talk about me even if i had to pay a little for a blog post
also looking to find influencers in my sector which aren't many but if I do find one I will see if they can make a video for a reasonable price

Shit isn't good but I like the chart direction, this is from search console

this is google analytics

I don't know what else I'm gonna next but all I know is that I need time and small boosts from here and there but it has to be legal white hat

Build content around what your tool can do. A couple of pieces where you showcase expertise in a form of a case study, a blog post, a comparaison article btw your tool and similar ones... You mostly have infinite topics to write about.

Link those articles well together and make sure you guve a couple of linew here and there to boast about what you created

You're that everyone can build now, but most of the new builders cant vibecode sales, the fact you know BHW puts you miles ahead.

Ps: having people stays on yout site for a bit is important, a demo video is a good move

Good luck

UPDATE #4
Google search console started indexing my pages and getting around 40 views per day from various sources only 5-10 views are from google search which is good so far.
I am thinking of reaching out to people on LinkedIn, I don't know how effective is that but I'm gonna start doing it tomorrow.
I will have like 10 people to DM per day something like that and I will try to start a conversation instead of being like a spammy bot since i'm gonna be using my own LinkedIn account(personal profile)
I will try it for a week to see if it leads to any results if not I will stop it.
in the meanwhile I will be adding more content and work on my next tool to add it to my service.

numbers aren't high but it's something
peace out for now.

UPDATE #5
I still have low visitors which is normal
I started Meta ads campaign just to test out paid ads
I'm targeting messages I don't really care about visitors for ads
I have 1 appointment booked from my website, I checked the source and it's actually from Organic search!
It's something motivation tbh
I'm working on the android version of my app it should be done by the end of this week.
I will keep you updated after a while to see my meta ads result.

You should also create alternative pages for all your competitors (your tool vs competitor). When someone come across your product, they may want to compare it with other products and it's best to find it from you. It will also help search engines and AI tools to understand your product and who your competitors are which can help with rankings and AI recommendations

Congrats on launching your SaaS!
Building something around a problem you personally experienced makes the journey even more interesting, looking forward to seeing how your traffic and conversions grow over time.

UPDATE #6
I made some more solution pages, finished our android app
1792580052993.png
Viewers arent many I know but im working on it, I bought two articles talking about my product. I got around 10 do-follow backlinks
1792580122212.png
Impressions are rising which is a good thing.
I did a competitors research now I'm going through their backlinks and trying to get some of their backlinks
What I found is this fact: it takes 3 months for results to appear, I'm looking for a 2k visitors a month after 3 months.
