True crime is still one of the fastest growing niche on many channels, are you someone who's in that niche? What's your thoughts on it?

What? Like those constant murder trial docs. Psychology students study?

Views and watch time are insane in true crime, but monetization is a nightmare. YouTube constantly yellow-demonetizes videos for violent terms or sensitive themes. You have to rely heavily on sponsorships, Patreon, or affiliate deals instead of AdSense

True, true crime does have the ability to elicit some incredible retention, but the risks involved with AdSense don’t make it a scalable endeavor. Perhaps sponsorship and affiliate marketing would be a safer approach

I don't create content in this niche myself, but I really admire the creators who do they are incredibly engaging and talented. I follow a lot of channels covering this topic.
Same here, even from the perspective of an observer, one can see how much effort goes into captivating the audience. The art of telling a story is critical in this segment.

I’ve seen many channels focusing on this topic, and they’re actually growing very well. As for me, I’m working on a completely different topic that isn’t related to this one.

True crime has a lot of competition now, so I think good storytelling and proper research are what make a channel stand out.

true crime video can pull strong views and watch time but monetization can tricky when videos cover graphic details or sensitive cases.having sponsors or a patreon alongside adsense can make the income less dependent on youtube ads.

This type of content sparks curiosity in viewers, and videos achieve great view counts, but it's difficult to monetize them on YouTube due to the sensitive nature of the content.
