facebook events can help people discover local activities and invite friends do you still use them to find events or do you rely on other apps and websites?

yeah facebook events still work well for local meetup especially niche communities the key is getting the right people to see the event not just creating one

i still think they work pretty well for local gatherings especially when group shared interest just creating an event not enough though you need to get it in front people who would actually want to attend

The events feature helps attract local audiences particularly within topic-specific groups and communities effectively drawing in interested participants in a meaningful way.

Yes they work very good for local activities and inviting your friends to them.

Yeah, Facebook Events are still useful, especially for local meetups and community gatherings. I also think people use Meetup and local groups, but Facebook is convenient because you can invite friends and see who's interested.

even at this point, Facebook events can still be used to organize meet-ups locally assuming that you make your events public in local groups in which everyone is acquainted. Making an event alone will not draw anyone’s attention, hence the reason why I will still use local group nd word of mouth.

I still use the Facebook Events feature from time to time, especially for local activities. It’s really convenient to see which events my friends are attending who knows, I might even run into them there.

i think facebook events are still useful for local meetups because people can discover events through friends groups and local communities for niche or professional events I’d also use platforms like meetup and eventbrite to reach people who are actively looking for something to attend

there is still some utility with facebook events i think, largely due to the ability to see who will attend nd make one feel safer about attending. for smaller gatherings, personally sending out invites nd posting within the community pagges may be much more effective.

Meetup feels more useful when the goal is to find people with the same hobby rather than just browse nearby events.

Nowadays, people's habits typically do not rely on a single source; instead, they tend to combine various apps and websites depending on the type of event.

Still works pretty well for local stuff, mainly because most people already have an account so there's no friction. but yeah just creating the event isn't enough anymore, you gotta cross-post it to relevant groups or pair it with meetup/telegram to actually get people to show up

in the case of niche meet ups FB events can still attract people who wouldnt ever stumble upon your event on a specialized app I would request an immediate response nearer to the date as going means vry ltl lol

I still use Facebook to find local events because a lot of smaller activities are posted there. For more professional events, I usually check other websites too and compare the options.

I don't use it anymore, i use better tools now like Google Search where AI automatically checks for the events i want to attend.

I notice that Facebook events are no longer as popular as they used to be, though a few major events are still occasionally created this way.
but I think it's still ok to use.
People tend to turn to more specialized forums, as they provide more comprehensive event listings.

they still work well for local meetups and community events.the main thing is getting event in front of people who share the same interests because just creating one not bring much attention on its own.
