is it just me or does going solo feel like you're rebuilding the plane while flying it? two years ago i walked away from a comfortable agency salary to run my own ppc consultancy. first month i had one client paying $800/month and i thought i was gonna starve. fast forward to now and i'm sitting at 6 clients, $11,400/month in retainers, which feels surreal to type out loud.

the path wasn't clean though. lost two clients in month 8, nearly quit, picked up a bad-fit client that drained me for four months straight. i manage google and meta campaigns mostly, some linkedin sprinkled in, and i've learned that niching down (i focus on home services and local b2b) made everything easier to sell and deliver.

right now i'm trying to push past $15k/month without hiring anyone, which feels like a wall i can't crack alone. thinking about productizing some of my audit work as a lower ticket offer. curious if anyone here has done that or found other ways to scale without bringing on staff. what's worked for you?

If you have a life partner, girlfriend, boyfriend, wife or husband.
So if possible, delegate a few of these work tasks to him. You will teach him a few things.
If you can get him to do even 1-2 hours every now and then, that is already a lot for you. Helps a lot.

My childhood friend has a wife, who quitted his job and is now working with my childhood friend in 2 person company.
I don't know how they're doing, because things are pretty difficult right now. When artificial intelligence came along last year.
And their niche is some B2B related - Email marketing.

I didn't actually answer your question; I probably created more questions and confusion for you. Sorry about that.

Perhaps giving some of your frame work here, we may find some point that can be improved .

Can I please be your work slave? I'm a newbie but ready to learn whatever you want me to. Pay me as you wish, if you think I'm not worthy to be paid, no problem provided i'm learning and your heart is okay with it. Consider me please, I'm willing to put in as much time as required.

I do not have answers to your questions but I’m young and also looking for ways to make a good life for myself.I hope it works out well for us

At some point you will need to outsource, and the sooner you do it the better

honestly the "pay me as you wish, even nothing is fine" framing is the part id push back on a little, not because generosity is bad but because ive watched that arrangement go sideways fast, the person doing the work stops caring around week 3 because theres no skin in the game on either side. i did an unpaid trial thing with a client back when i was learning google ads and ran their account into the ground partly because neither of us treated it like real work, wasted about $400 of their budget before anyone noticed. some token amount, even $5 an hour, changes the psychology completely.

I"m ready to put in my best effort, the issue is I'm just a novice newbie, yes there certainly will be challenges but I'm ready for it, just give me a chance.
