Recently, I haven't been able to edit posts or comments with my target brand at all. Has anyone figured out alternative methods to advertise on reddit?

are you getting an actual error when editing, or does reddit remove the change after saving? those usually point to different issues, so i'd narrow that down before changing the promo strategy.

you can't really bypass the edit button; the only work-around is deleting and reposting, which loses any karma and breaks comment threads, or using ~~strike-through~~ markdown to hide the old text, but the edit history stays visible

I meant, whenever I edit a post, it gets taken down by reddit almost immediately.

when you try to edit or does the change disappear after saving? those could separate issues so figure out which one is happening before trying a different way promote the brand.

I suspect that you are flagged. Reddit is very strict these days. check for flagged notifications and correct what they are flagging

Make sure your post is not voilating any subreddit rules and not triggering spam filters. Go to moderators and find out the actual cause. Promote your brand in reddit Ads and try to share genuine information that can help others at places where your brand is relevant for discussions.

I realized that some subreddits didn't allow me to edit my comments and posts anymore but some of them still allow me to edit. I am sure I was able to edit any of my previous comments. I wonder if this is a new thing.

I am also facing a similar issue. Whenever I try to edit my old comment and submit comment with link then, the comment get removed automatically after few hours. The comments with links are not getting approved on any post.

praw lets you edit via script; call submission.edit('new body') or comment.edit('updated text') and stay under Reddit's 1-minute edit cooldown to avoid rate-limit bans

Use the Reddit API with PRAW: install via pip install praw, authenticate with a script, then call comment.edit('new text'). tip: keep a local backup of the original markdown because the API won't show edit history
