Hi,

I started my YouTube channel earlier this year, and have been making what I'd call "proper" videos since July.

My sub count is at 470 and slowly rising. I'm getting a few k views on the better videos, with 14,000 being the best.

My target is to get monetized before YouTube change the qualifying standard at the start of February.

I think I'll struggle to get 8000 watch hours in a year, but 4000 looks on track before they make this change.

In this case, would anyone consider or recommend buying 100 or so subs?

I really think it'll be a bit hit or miss if I make it. Just wish I'd started my channel 6 months earlier!

Any advice would be good thanks.

Buying 100 subs wouldn’t magically add watchtime to your overal channel to make it eligible for monetization. You’ll need someone with a HQ botnet of accounts to push your videos through CTR campaigns.

    • Very true about subscriber counts not adding watch hours.
    • Though CTR manipulation works for some, YouTube's algorithm is getting much stricter at detecting non-organic watch time patterns during final review

I would suggest not buying subs, because if YouTube discovers you, you may loose your whole channel.

I would not buy subscribers because they might not actually watch your videos. Your views are already looking promising, so I’d focus on keeping viewers engaged and getting more of them to subscribe naturally.

Yeah I'm not looking for watch hours or views as I'm sure I'll have 4000hours by then, but I might miss the 1000 subscribers by a couple hundred, which would likely mean I never get monetized.

tbh i would not be risking my money in buying subs bcuz u are already getting some thousands of views without even trying. fake subs are not gonna help with watch hours, so just concenttrate on how long people are going to watch ur videos.

Yeah I'm not looking for views. Just want to get the 1000 subs before February or I might never get monetized.

Important is to reach 8K hours instead of 4K for that you should repurpose a popular video by reacting over it. A funny reaction or something video from a popular person avoid using his voice modulate it a bit / on screen add your video by side and follow the policy so that you won't get rejected at time of monetization and that's enough. For subs continue with short videos if you are in hurry or buy them from some good provider as it is hard to find non drop subscribers these days. Youtube is now totally using AI in their algos it looks so.
