It's been a while since the last update...

• Well, I've been posting videos regularly on social media sites. These do get views according to the statistics on these social media platforms. But unfortunately, they don't convert into visitors to the site, nor into users of the site's service. People watch the videos; that is certain, they don´t like or follow the social media profiles.
• This is, of course, expected; most people just watch the video and incorporate what they see and the information in it. But they don't necessarily react to it in any way.
• Of course, once the video has been watched, it is of course increasing the brand's image. In other words, if the viewer of the video sees the video and realizes what he or she has seen, then perhaps in the future, when he or she remembers, he or she will use the service in future... or not..
• I just have to continue on the same path, which is to make videos and post them.

I need to invest in social media pages in some way this week, but I don't know how yet. I need to get at least more followers on X and TikTok, and if I could get some "followers" on the Reddit group as well. This could be problematic. But let's see..

Day 104 , 150

• I've been writing new articles. I've written about 10 articles now and more is coming. I have already decided on the titles. There is about 30 specified.
• I made a different sketch image for myself that I thought I would use to explain the idea behind the page to someone in the future. I'll probably never use this image because I don't think anyone would be interested. But I made this one anyway.
• I updated the WordPress plugins on the page.
• Then I updated a few pages - added new content and text.
• Added the TikTok channel link to the footer and to the social media page. Where people can find all the social media pages under the brand.
• I finished a few new videos that I will publish at some point.
• I posted a product about a tractor to a specified Facebook group.
• I've been trying to raise the karma on my Reddit account all the time. I've liked and commented on this and that. But somehow, I should get these subreddits of my brand to increase their follower count. There's no one in them, but maybe sometimes someone will just Google it or search Reddit and find something. That's when they'll find it. Right now 379 karma and 132 comments. So I think the ratio is good...

Day 106, 107

• I have written new articles. I don't know how many, but more are coming all the time..
• I have published a video on social media sites. I always publish a video every 2-3 days. I make sure it is not some event day or Friday. So I usually don't publish on Friday, at least around here, is a day when people don't have the energy to think about anything, and all they think about is the weekend and relaxing.
• I also made music for a brand with artificial intelligence yesterday. I made 3 songs and made a "music video" for them. I made 2 Finnish versions and then 1 English version. I used making the music this AI: https://www.openmusic.ai/, and for making the video, I used this: https://musicvid.org/ + CapCut desktop version. Good Bass!!!
• I uploaded the songs to the YouTube channel and made shorts of these songs to publish too. I will post the short videos someday on social media sites. Maybe people will like them or not..
• I am thinking of making a new area to the website. Where I have a Games/Music category/page. Where am I going to publish those songs and I am going to make a game for the brand someday.
• Maybe I can write an article about the songs too. I have to try to grow the brand and try to produce different themes for the page. That way, people may find the page.

Day 108, 109, 110

• Videos published on social media. Everyone gets views, but not likes - shares - comments. And they don't necessarily convert. Each video gets 100 - 300 views. On X and Reddit, the views are between 0 - 5. But this is to be expected, because the point of X and Reddit is more to strengthen SEO for keywords and so on at this point..
• I made a new page on the website. /entertainment page, where you can find these branded music songs, there will also be a game there in the future and etc. Then I made this one article, where the topic is these music songs that I made. These music songs I published on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit and X. This video that I published was a Shorts video style preview of this song. Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, I will publish this second video with the same theme.
• This led to a small business idea that some artists could also publish their own songs on my page. That is definitely possible if someone wants to do it that way. So if someone realizes it, they can publish their own song on YouTube or Spotify and then publish it on my page, and then it can also be found in the page's feed. But I dont think nobody going to do that. But good thinking if someone wants to brand their music using new ways.
• I tried to increase karma on Reddit manually and then liked various publications on X. X and Reddit are difficult for my niche. Difficult as it is to approach people or comment.

Day 111, 112

• I've made a few new videos. They're waiting to be published.
• I've gotten about 5-10 backlinks to the page. Mostly some directory websites.
• I set up Substack and LinkedIn accounts - pages for that brand. I published the first posts. Apparently, you could also make articles on Substack.
• I updated plugins in WordPress.
• I wrote 3 new articles.
• I've published a video on social media sites.
• I commented and raised karma on the Reddit account. Mostly, someone asked for help related to SEO or that industry.
• I liked posts on X. I noticed that one video on X had received views. Less than 10.. But probably some bots had seen it in a feed somewhere. Because in that video post, there was a keyword SEO, which is a common term worldwide. Mostly my X videos get 1 - 5 views... so specially nothing. heh heh
• Some Chinese guy (I think) had found my page and used a VPN to create an account on the page and then he had made a sale announcement on the page. Where he sells a cryptocurrency mining machine. The publication is in English, but that doesn't necessarily matter. Because the page also has an "abroad" section. However, I need visitors and then publishers for the page. I have been thinking that in some cases, a foreign person can publish. So this Chinese guy had used a VPN and a Swedish IP address, so he was able to register on the page.

I'll probably have less time for this project. I'm starting other jobs, so this will become a side project. But I can see that I don't need to spend a lot of time on this, maybe 1 hour a day. Maybe not even that.
Otherwise, I've managed to build this in a way that I can gradually do and add things in a very easy way.
However, I'm starting a new job today, which will pay me. I'm going back on the company's payroll now that we've got more work for the company. We won tender contracts, so I can be included in the company on a paid basis. Construction, Wheel loader, excavator, and truck driving. And service development is mostly the theme of my job.

Day 113 -> 125

It's been a while since I last updated this thread. About 12 days..
Well, I've been doing other things. But I've still spent time on this project. But not as much as before.

• I've been publishing a new video consistently every 3 days to the Social Media sites. According to statistics, videos get views, but they don't necessarily convert into users on the service in question.
• I've made new videos, maybe 9 new videos. But I haven't uploaded them anywhere yet.
• Substack banned me. They probably don't like "links" in posts. I tried to tell the Substack team that this is a real company, and if I don't post any links. But I still post the video.. They didn´t like it, they don't want the company promoting things... I got permabanned on that platform after that discussion. Well, Substack didn't work then, and I'm not going back there by making a new account.
• I'll try to go into a Google AdSense campaign again one day. It's been over a month since the last time, and I've managed to build various things on the site.
• I may need to make some branding changes or other service description changes if this site doesn't get up and running. I mean I open Guest Post things to Worldwide, because it seems Finnish people don´t really understand it.

Day 126 - 137
Well. It's been a while since I've updated this.

• But I've still been posting videos on social media and trying to get visitors and users to the site.
• The site gets visitors steadily. That is, 1-10 visitors every day. Sometimes maybe more. I took a 4-day break from posting videos, because sometimes it's good to take a little break. At least in my opinion, social media doesn't see that I regularly post on the same days. These video posts are not automated at all; I post each one manually. It doesn't take long, maybe 10 minutes in total. I always try different times of day, sometimes in the evening. Sometimes in the morning. Sometimes during the day. According to the "statistics", the videos always get the same number of viewers, at least on TikTok and Facebook. I believe that their analytics programs are somehow cheating the viewing times. That way they don't tell the truth. Or they trying to show the video to the people, but like on YouTube. If people don´t like it, then they just don't recommend it anymore, and it stops getting views.
• Some guy registered on the site and posted a scam loan post. I did have to delete it, because no scam-related things are allowed on the site.
• I have made a new videos using Pomelli + Camtasia. Have to upload those to the YouTube someday.
• I have made a 5 new articles. The subject and theme of which was related to Guest Posts. These 5 articles are therefore supporting my service on the site. If anyone ever finds these articles online.
• I made an About page for the website for foreign people, when they visit the site and they see the "About page" they go to read it. Maybe this will open new doors if a foreign entity wants to collaborate.
• Updates some WordPress plugings.
• Have to check the website speed things, because it´s not loading fast. The problem comes from the theme. So I can´t really do anything about it...
• I'm planning to start a campaign on Reddit one day about Guest Post - backlink stuff. But unfortunately, I don't have that much time right now. So much to do at work, at home, and in my free time. But if I do this correctly, I'll get a pretty high number of visitors to the page. But these are foreign entities, so the main target group doesn't match what I want.

Okey, it´s a week from the previous update.

• I have posted videos every 2-3 days to the social media sites about the site. Mostly, they will always get the same view counts... I don´t necessarily know what it means, but I have a hunch that the Social Media sites try the video, but then it stops. Because people aren´t liking, commenting, or doing anything else...
• I have made 10 new articles on the side. Some articles are ranking, and I get visitors to the site from articles. (yeeee)
• Yesterday I made to the Reddit a campaign for the Guest Post thing. I have gotten 1 message that someone is interested for free Guest Post. I thought there would be more activity in that. But I thought wrong.. I have to think of some other perspective on this matter..
• I have made new videos (about 6) that are ready to publish.

I want to clarify that my site gets visitors, and those are mostly 1 - 10 each day. But I want to get people who register on the site and publish their product, company service, or other thing. But they are not doing that. More posting = More Visitors = And that way the site grows bigger and bigger. Right now, I have only my own postings, what people are watching and checking out.

Well, it's been a long time since the last time. 13 days I think...

• I have been posting ads on social media regularly. They get views, but they can be skipped. Views mostly between 150 - 300..
• I have now posted 5 new articles on the page this week.
• I had a campaign on Reddit where I gave away free Guest Posts from my page. Well, one person took the chance, and I posted their guest post on the page. I will have to continue this campaign one day, but I thought. That there would be more interest in the topic. But apparently not. One person did say that they only collaborate with websites. Which have a website value of below 20 "metrics data".. Well, it will rise steadily one day.
• There were posts made to the website. Which is really great to see. I've officially got real users on the site! I wish there were more like this!
• I received an email to the official email address of the website. The user asked a question, which I then answered. This is actually a good indication that someone has some kind of interest! yeee
• I made with ChatGPT a signature thing to the gmail for the brand. I used the promt what I added to the "spoiler" and I got good looking promt. It was easy to add to Gmail.

Day 160 - 173
It's been 14 days since the last update...
I felt sad when I came to this forum today and saw one thread where there was an announcement that one of the MODs had died.
I've been thinking about my own life and my own projects for about half an hour now, when I read the announcement. If I leave today or someday (I die), so many things will remain unfinished in life.
I should take life a bit more easily and just go with the flow. Enjoy life, live, see, and experience things.

But yeah, let´s go on this journey. So it´s been 14 days since the last update. I went on a little vacation in this timeline.
Small road trip across Finland. But I have done things...

• I've been updating social media sites.
• Videos have been uploaded.
• I've finished new videos.
• I've written a few articles.
• I've updated the site's WordPress plugins.
• I have published a free guest post on the site.
• I have received all sorts of messages by email that I have had to respond to.
• There are users logged in to the site, but they have not posted anything. It would seem that at least based on the email, there are real people, and no bot accounts. Some of these have also registered on the site. But I have deleted them.

I should start looking at AdSense again next; it's been about 2 months since I last tried to go to AdSense. There have been many new things at the site. So I think Google sees the site in a better status.
The ads are getting views and visitors to the site. This is great, but the site needs more of these ads. I wish people would post about their products and services on the page!

Day 174 - 196

It´s been about 22 days since the previous update...
I have been busy with other things.
I’m currently building an industrial hall for our company, so that takes up my days; when I get home in the evening, I usually attend to household chores, leaving little time for this project. Besides, the weather has been nice lately. I generally stay indoors and work on this project only when it’s raining.

But let´s go on this journey:

• New videos have been published to social media sites and YouTube.
• I have written 4 new articles for the website.
• Some backlinks have been obtained for the site. Need more.
• I applied to Google Adsense just a moment ago. I see this as pretty much the only way to earn passive income from visitors. There aren't really any affiliate programs available for the Finnish market, so the only real options are Google AdSense and separate agreements with specific parties for banner ads.
• I published a "post" to the brand's YouTube channel. I completely forgot the YouTube channel post place. I have posted only shorts and regular videos.
• I’ve tried getting backlinks via Reddit and offered free guest posts, but for some reason, people aren't interested. I guess my site doesn't align with their niche—or rather, it isn't a good fit for their niche, or something like that. I haven't actually used any "audit" tools on my own site. So, I haven't checked the stats to see what my domain score is. Maybe it's too low for them...

You’re right—I have 15 listings in total. Ten of them are mine, and the rest were posted by other users of the site. The problem is precisely that I need a wider variety of listings on my site. I was mistaken in thinking that people would actually create these listings. But as you said, they just visit the site and look around without posting anything themselves. They just look do I have that, then I think they just leave.
People just don't seem to take action; they don't quite get it. Of course, another issue might be that most people use their mobile phones. It’s easy enough to post listings for machinery, cars, and the like on Facebook, but unfortunately, that doesn't really generate sales for them. The Facebook group search doesn't work.

You are right in that! That I will likely involve connecting with certain parties and publish their listings on my site—that is probably the path I’ll take, as it seems to be the only viable option left.

As for the articles, the idea is to try and draw people to the site from various angles. My competitors don’t have any articles, which makes me stand out more. Unfortunately, though, since we live in the mobile era, articles don’t necessarily drive conversions the way they do for desktop users.

That’s what my cousins say, at least. They don’t use a computer; they just use their phones to browse news sites and use Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. They don’t really Google anything and that´s why I try to reach these people by making videos. Personally, I think they’re pretty good. But they just don’t really generate anything. They might handle branding very well, though.

AdSense is like ready in the background. If I some campaign works someday and I get visitors. The idea behind using AdSense is to cover the maintenance costs—hosting, domain, and other annual fees.

Day 197 - 211
It’s been 14 days since the last update... Well, I’ve had so much to do at work. My days have pretty much run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day. And by the time I get home, it’s mostly just eating and dealing with everyday life, so this project has pretty much been kept to a minimum.
Besides, since it’s summer, I’m busy building things outside—so the weekends get taken up by that, too. I’m writing this post first thing in the morning because I need to head out to build a storage shed.

But let´s go on the journey:

• AdSense has now been approved for the site. I quickly adjusted some settings so that ads would appear on the page. However, the ads aren't showing up on the site yet. As far as I know, there is a delay before they appear. Besides, I have AdBlock and uBlock enabled in every browser, so I rarely see any ads anyway. Have to try someday with phone if the ads are there..
• I’ve posted a few videos on social media—about two or three over the last 14 days. I’m actually running out of finished videos soon, so I really ought to start making some one of these days. But I’m waiting for a rainy day; that way, I can work on them indoors in peace and quiet.
• I updated the site's WordPress plugins.

I ought to start a new advertising strategy, but right now I don't have the time for it. Besides, I need a specific kind of mindset—an inspiring state of mind—when I set out to do that sort of thing.
I also have electrical schematics here on my desk that need to be scanned, copied, and have data added to them. So, there is plenty of other work to do besides this website project.

Okey, so totally 49 days from the previous update... huh huh
The project has literally been running at half-speed—or perhaps at 25% capacity. There have been other projects going on.
There has been construction work to be done at the workplace, and a huge amount of time has gone into other things in life.
I have maybe uploaded 1 video each week. So not so much.


But today I have done some things:

• Uploaded 11 videos to YouTube Shorts. I scheduled their publication times, and these videos will go live over the next three weeks.
• I uploaded 1 video to the social media sites, and I am going to publish the next video in 3 days.
• I have gotten free backlinks in a "Guest Post" format to my website.
• I have updated the WordPress plugins.
• I have made a new videos using the Google Pomelli + Camtasia + luvvoice + Grok (making an image)

I have some ideas here, but I just need to find the time to put them into practice.
I have more time in the winter....

I did receive a rather interesting phone call earlier this week when I was on a business trip. Someone asked if I was selling a power tool battery system on the site. The caller evidently thought I was some sort of wholesaler or reseller. It got me wondering if I should start doing some reselling on the site... Of course, I’d first need to find a product or service to sell, and then I could take a commission on the sales. Cool idea..

Okey 8 days have passed and I have invested more time to this project!

• I have published 5 different articles to the site. All videos, what I have published to the Brands YouTube channel I am creating a full-length articles. ChatGPT told, that this is very good way to get watchers to the video and same time get more keywords. Because the video titles are the mostly the keywords what I am "attacking". I don´t know, but actually, I read his reply with quite a bit of amusement. Because ChatGPT was so "horny", when I told that I am going to do articles and I want the video included in the article. ChatGPT was so exited and he told me. Let´s do it, because nobody is doing same kind way we are right now doing.... I was like ok...
• Updated some WordPress plugins.
• I have fully implemented the brand in my personal email too. When I am sending emails to people. I have the website and the brand in the signature space. When I send something to someone, they see the website too. You never know what kind of doors this will open.. or not.
  
  I have some new projects getting underway as well. I bought an old trailer that I plan to restore, and I’ll start renting out SUP boards next summer. I already have the boards and all the other gear ready to go, but the trailer needs some work—sanding, painting, and installing a durable platform. I also need to build a custom rack for the SUP boards. I am going to of course publish the SUP boards renting thing to this project website too. I am going to win the keywords for sure!

That phone call about the battery system caught my attention. The visitor thought you were selling the product yourself. Maybe the listing pages need to make it clearer who the actual seller is. Otherwise, you might keep getting inquiries meant for the people posting the ads.

The caller was an old nude. But yeah, you are right! Pretty confusing.
From my perspective, it´s just a listing page.
On the main page, it´s already saying 3 times "listing page"

The name of this page/domain certainly suggests it could well be a "reselling" business too - meaning I buy something from abroad and then catalog in the site and sell it on and get my own profit.
I just need to get more people to list things on the site, and I think the problem will disappear after that..
After all, the more people -> visitors to the site -> there are, the more likely they are to start calling me random things. Asking questions.
