Hello,

If I am in an industry where nobody cares about the brand name, then should I create brand name backlinks or should I only focus on creating keyword-focused backlinks?

Thanks

I will still mix both. Even if brand name searches are low, branded links help keep your link profile natural. Focus more on relevant keyword links, but dont ignore brand links completely.

even when working within an seo heavy niche i would include branded anchor text in my anchhor text mix rather than just using optimized anchor text. another thing i would consider is how natural anchor text my competitors are getting nd how they are doing it.

Prioritize relevant, high-quality backlinks that can improve your rankings and authority. You don’t need to force brand-name backlinks, but don’t ignore them either. Quality and relevance matter more than anchor text alone, bro.

Brand name backlinks do not work until people searches for your brand then it helps

I get your point, but brand name backlinks can still help build authority and trust even before people start searching for the brand. I’d focus mainly on relevant keyword-focused backlinks for rankings while keeping some branded links in the mix for a natural, balanced backlink profile.

Sure you can do it

use both branded links and naked URLs no matter how much traffic ur keywords have. the fastest way to earn a google penalty is to spam exact match anchors.
limits ur keyword anchors to 10 to 15% at most and use branded link or naked URL for everything else.

i'd still do it, mostly branded and naked url anchors with a small slice of keyword ones. keeps the profile looking natural even if nobody actually searches the brand

For me, I’d still build a natural mix of branded and keyword-focused backlinks. Even if brand awareness isn't a big deal in that industry, I wouldn't rely only on keyword-rich anchors. Relevance and link quality matter more than forcing exact match keywords.

I’d still mix in brand name backlinks, even in low-brand-awareness niches. Focus mainly on relevant, quality links with natural anchor text, and use keyword-focused anchors sparingly to avoid over-optimization.

Keyword backlinks are option to share links of keywords which are know with many users to help on getting on content for research purposes but making brand name awareness and spread on backlinks pages help in secure index for such brand name to get popular ans index when know with many for research basic.

If yours is the only brand in a niche, you can have monopoly as long as others don't care about branding. So, yes, go for it.

brand anchors are not for brand searches, they are there so your anchor profile doesn't look engineered. nobody needs to know the name. a profile made mostly of exact match keyword anchors is the easiest footprint to spot, for Google and for a manual reviewer. keep brand, naked URL and partial match phrases as the bulk, and use exact match sparingly on the strongest, most relevant placements. if the brand is just the domain name, then the domain name as anchor is the same thing.

keep both in the mix even if people rarely search for brand name. relevant keyword link can support the pages you want to rank but branded links still make sense for a natural looking backlink profile.the main thing getting links from relevant sites rather than chasing anchor text alone.
