Does replying to YouTube comments help a channel grow?

if you go to a door and knock on it then noone comes to open the door now 2nd scenario you knock a door and there is always a friendly face you are inclined to knock the 2nd door its called engagement.

In my opinion, you don’t need to reply to every comment on your videos. I think it’s enough to engage with a few of the more interesting or meaningful comments.

I see many creators replying to comments on their videos does this actually help a channel grow or is it mainly just for interacting with viewers?
Comments help clarify any confusion and answer the audience's questions. Plus, if you get more comments on your videos, the algorithm will assume your video is worth watching.

Of course. The more genuine interactions your video receives, the more youtobr algorithm will confirm that it's getting attention, leading to wider recommendations. This definitely helps your channel grow.

making comments on videos help to reachout for viewers to engage on a certain channel expose content which may be resolve/solution help, comments are appreciated in growing channel when post on competitors videos for expose about a product/project.

It helps since it gets notifications that brings the user back to the videos and because the algorithm sees all that extra engagement from the cmnts section.

Absolutely. Responding to comments helps to spread videos a lot. The more comments, the higher the video's popularity.

That kind of interaction is essential for effectively growing the channel.

i think of comments as fuel for retaining viewers rather than a trick to fool the system because gud replies have the power to turns visitors into repeat viewers

it helps with engagement and building viewers connection, but it wont magically boost the channel. I’d still reply when the comment adds to the conversation.

I think replying to comments is worth doing, but more for building a real audience than some direct ranking boost. Good replies can turn one comment into a proper conversation and make viewers feel like the creator actually cares.

It actually grabs attention which is a good thing and help engage and build a bond with your audience.
So in a way it helps in growing the channel.

Both approaches have benefits. Responding to audience comments is a way to interact and retain viewers. The more comments a video receives, the more likely the algorithm is to recognize it as having high audience interest, leading to more widespread video recommendations.

Replying to comments definitely helps build a loyal audience. It makes viewers feel valued encourages them to engage more and increases the chances of them coming back to your next videos. It may not directly boost the algorithm but stronger audience engagement can help your channel grow over time.

Yes, people will see that you care so they might subscribe to a channel which is good.

Of course, it would help. It shows that you care about your audience, and people will return to the channel where you reply to them. Returning viewers help the algorithm recommend your channel.
