Hello experts,

How is everyone doing? I would like to know you about an important matter. Last Wednesday, I connected with someone on LinkedIn who runs an Amazon affiliate business, promoting products such as refrigerators. The issue is that his Amazon Associates account was banned three days before we even started communicating. He had been in the affiliate business for about six to seven years, but the sudden ban has left him quite disheartened. Does anyone know how this account can be recovered? What kind of documentation might be required?

Could someone please provide some detailed information on this?

Thank you

wouldn't touch it. bans get tied to tax id and payout details, so a new account on the same info usually gets closed again. did he get a ban reason by email, and did he appeal it himself?

No, that message was sent only to his email. Apparently, they didn't clearly state whether anything specific had actually happened. However, he hasn't filed an appeal yet. I don't know if he has a tax ID, but what documents are actually required to file an appeal? Anyway, I’ve decided to contact support.

He should first check the suspension email to understand the exact reason, then appeal through Amazon Associates support with a clear explanation and any relevant evidence. If it was a policy violation, he should address the specific issue rather than just asking for reinstatement. Six years of experience may help explain his history, but recovery isn't guaranteed.

I'd start by checking the exact reason for the ban. If it was a compliance issue, he'll need to fix that first before appealing.

The documentation depends on the reason, so I'd gather the relevant records and contact support with a clear explanation rather than submitting a generic appeal.

Yes, the application was supposed to be submitted yesterday, but it wasn't done due to some personal reasons. The email states that the account was suspended for violating their policy, but they haven't specified exactly which policy was breached. It is unfortunate, though, as the account is about six or seven years old; I, too, am wondering why this happened so suddenly.

I have already told him to contact their support center. He was unable to do so due to some personal reasons, but he will contact them either today or tomorrow.
I would like to ask you a question: can this website be flipped now, even though the Amazon account is currently suspended?
