Are YouTube Community Posts Underrated?

In my view, leveraging community posts and short polls is an effective way to maintain engagement, connect with subscribers, and generate new video ideas between uploads, as long as they are used in moderation and not overused to the point of spamming.

Polls are actually the best part cuz asking people which topic they wanna see next gets them involved before the video is even made

Way better than just posting a link every time you upload

If you already have a bit of a presence in the community, posting in online communities will help you get even more interaction and attention. That's a great idea!
Indeed, but it all boils down to providing value first, then making the promotion. Trust is built through consistent participation, and the attention will come after that.

Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed more creators using YouTube Community posts to stay connected with their audience between videos.
Do you think Community posts can meaningfully improve channel engagement and returning viewers?
Would love to hear your thoughts.
It's a very useful tool to stay connected with your audience, however, if you don't have several thousands of subscribers, to utilize it properly, it would be better to upload more high quality reels and videos.

Even if your channel is new, it can still provide value. At the very least, it can help your channel get indexed, and indexing is where it all begins.

I appreciate your observation, Youtube community posts are really helpful to keep the current subscribers active and help brining new ones.

There is no doubt community posts improve engagement.

they can help especially if you use them to keep people involved between uploads rather than just posting random updates. Polls and questions for example.

community posts are a good way to get returning viewers , to make your subscribers feel like they are valued and etc... it also give youtube the impression that your active with your channel...it builds an overall great impression for both your viewers and also youtube. Add something insightful in those posts, like how you create the videos, questionnaires to the viewers and etc.

Extremely underrated, especially image polls. The algorithm pushes poll posts onto non subscriber mobile feeds like crazy because tapping an option takes zero effort. It’s an easy way to siphon thousands of cheap impressions, farm engagement signals, and keep your channel floating on people's home screens while you're working on your next main video.

Right community posts obviously don't drive repeat viewership on their own people come back because your content is engaging and provides value.

  • I completely agree, YouTube community posts are indeed quite underrated. When creators share polls, updates, or behind-the-scenes content between regular uploads, it strengthens the connection with the audience and increases the chances of returning viewers

Absolutely, to have some credibility in the community is essential. Concentrate on providing meaningful input and participating in the discussion, and everything else will follw

Polls especially are crazy for reach right now. Youtube pushes them to people who don't even follow you, which brings in a lot of new impressions for free.

In my opinion, good videos matter more, but Community posts can help keep the audience active.

Hi scott. I do find that smaller channels can use community posts to their advantage. They can use it for feedback, their channel might get flooded by bots on community posts, so its not really trustworthy.
