I know this post will mostly receive answers from bots, but if there is still any real human being on this forum interested in helping each other, i'd like some help to understand what I can do here.

Google basically deindexed all the major pages, those ones that were really bringing traffic to my website. Now they are under this status: Crawled - currently not indexed

The others are still intact.

I sincerely dont know what to do about it. Buy backlinks? Try to use an indexer to force indexing it again? Buy social signals? Just wait? I dont know. My website is created with AI, but I revised it manually so many times, it's definitely not your average AI trash factory, there is real value (if not, the whole site would be deindexed).

Any suggestions based on your REAL PERSONAL experience?

I wouldnt buy links or run an indexer on those yet. Google crawled them and chose to drop them, so forcing them back in probably doesn't change what it saw.

First thing I'd check is what the dropped pages have in common. Same template, same intro, the ones you edited least from the AI draft?

If the pages that stayed indexed are the ones you rewrote the most, thats your answer.

How much did the dropped ones change between the first AI draft and what's live now?

Buying backlinks will not help you, nor will external page indexers. Based on my experience, in most cases, the “Crawled - currently not indexed” status in GSC means that the pages being indexed in this way have low-quality content. As a rule, this is content with low originality, not uniqueness, but originality specifically. These are different things. Or templated content that is similar to other pages on your website. Pages with auto-generated content also fall under this status. Pages with content that has the same intent also fall under this status. In this way, Google may index only one page, while marking the other pages with content targeting the same intent as “Crawled - currently not indexed”.

Overall, this is often an assessment of the content quality of the entire website. You need to reconsider your approach to content creation. Obviously, it is quite possible that what you consider genuinely valuable AI content is not considered valuable by Google’s algorithms.

I’d first compare the affected pages with the ones still indexed. Check content overlap, internal linking, canonicals and whether the pages are actually adding something unique. Then update them and request indexing again in GSC.

If Google dropped the pages that were bringing in most of your traffic I’d compare those pages against what’s still indexed and look for what changed.

First check if the pages de-indexed are with unique content and topic. If there are other too similar contet/topic on the site. Google may consider it a duplicate content and de-index it.

Next, Must add User-declared canonical to these page. This is important. This says Google, this page is it's unique version.

Once done, request index again.

If your pages are crawled but not indexed yet it means your page has duplicate content I think. So try to update old content and add some relevant internal linking. Maybe it can help you.

I don't think I would purchase backlinks or utilize the indexer right now but I would have to examine first the difference/duplication between the dropped website nd the indexed site.

If they are crawled but not indexed, your quality of content is probably bad. Fix this first and update your content and try to reindex again.

real human here. before buying anything, export the dropped urls and the kept ones from GSC and compare two columns, word count and internal links in. every time i saw this the dropped set were the thin ones with 1 or 2 internal links. fix that first, then a couple of external links at the fixed pages brought them back for me within 3 weeks, an indexer did nothing. and check the dropped pages have no near duplicates, same intro on 30 pages reads as one page to google

From my personal experience, most of my pages get indexed when I manually request indexing through Google Search Console.

For content written with AI but heavily edited by me, over 90% of the pages were indexed within a few hours of submitting a manual indexing request.

But I've noticed something different with my fully AI-generated programmatic SEO (pSEO) pages. No matter how many times I request indexing, Google just doesn't seem to pick them up.

So based on my experience, I'd suggest going through those pages again and making them feel less AI-generated, with more of your own input and editing.

I'm not saying this is definitely the reason, but it's a pattern I've noticed across my own sites.

wouldn’t buy backlinks or indexing services yet. If Google dropped the pages that were bringing in most of your traffic I’d compare those pages against what’s still indexed and look for patterns.
