[Journey] Solo Dev Agency: $2 → $5K/Month. Optimizing my Top of the Funnel Strategy

This is very interesting indeed. Are you planning to add FB ads as well? Or only google?
I did FB Ads! The second picture of the update is Meta Ads campaign.

Hi! I’m going to give you an update on the data from the last six days, as things really seem to be taking off.

Unlike last week's campaign, this new approach and strategy seems to be working—both on Meta Ads and Google Ads (and that’s even before optimization, while the campaigns are still in the learning phase).

From €500 to €31 per lead!

- Google Ads:
I’ve secured 2 conversions over the past few days for just ~€62. The CTR is excellent, and the cost per lead is extremely low.

- Meta Ads:
I created 6 new ads to target 6 different angles (I currently have 10 ads running in total). Meta has chosen its "winner" and is scaling it up. I was surprised to find that the statistics are very similar. In theory, since it involves colder traffic, it should convert at a lower rate, but the cost per lead has apparently been virtually identical. View attachment 550346

I’m using the same Google Ads platform that didn't work for me before, but thanks to a well-defined offer, an optimized landing page, and campaigns that target specific pain points, I’ve gone from a 0.46% conversion rate to 7.4%, and from a cost-per-lead of ~€522 down to ~€31! The cost is just a quarter of what it used to be, but the ROI is incomparable.

Although two of the leads aren't turning out to be very high quality, the other two seem very interested. I met with both of them today, and I think I have a strong chance of closing the deal with the offer I’m proposing.

Here is the strategy for this week:
First, I’ll try to close the pending leads I already have, as well as any new ones that come in through the campaign over the next few days. As soon as I close the first lead, I’ll increase the budget for the campaign that generated it from €10/day to €15/day. I’ll continue to progressively scale the ad budget this way to acquire more clients and help the campaigns learn.

In the meantime, I’ll be finishing up projects for existing clients, and with any spare time, I’ll start cold calling local businesses. I’ve scraped data on about 2,000 businesses in my area that don’t have a website, and I plan to pitch my offer to them—but this time, I’ll have the website built before I even make the call.

I’m more motivated than ever! And a big thanks to everyone following this thread and helping out with recommendations!
U met with them as in online ? Also how much u making know

Congrats on starting! Would be happy to partner with you - either as a referral partner or helping out... What's your current offer for the $2k? Just a landing page?

You mentioned that two of the four leads weren't a good fit. I think it makes sense to focus on lead quality before increasing the ad budget. €31 per lead sounds good, but what matters more is how many of those leads turn into paying clients.

When I ran lead gen for service businesses, I tagged each lead with the ad set it came from and tracked it to a signed deal, and the cheapest cost per lead was almost never the one that closed.
