Are third-party ad networks still worth testing for PPC traffic?

Hey guys,

I’m looking at some 3rd-party ad networks as an alternative to the usual Google/Meta ads. There are so many options like ExoClick, Clickadu, AdMaven etc, so kinda confused which ones are actually worth testing.

For those who have used these networks recently, which one gave you the best traffic quality and conversions?

Also, what should I check before putting a small test budget into a new network?

Before testing a network, see what kind of sites or placements your ads will actually appear on.

Good reporting is important, so choose a network where you can see where the clicks are coming from.

for a first test, i'd keep the budget small and watch bot/fraud rates, geo quality, placement transparency, ctr, and conversion lag. cheap traffic means nothing if the downstream numbers are weak.

Try native ad networks, or sometimes contacting niche websites for advertising directly works great as well

Yeah they’re still worth a small test if your offer fits pop, push or adult ish traffic.

ExoClick usually edges out for cleaner volume and better conversions in those niches, Clickadu and AdMaven can work too but quality jumps around more.

In my opinion, a small test is more useful than reviews because every campaign can perform differently on the same network.

Yes, indeed. Reviews can tell you a thing or two, but campaign performance will show you more. I would start small, check out the quality of traffic and conversions, and then build on what is proven to work,

Start with one GEO and one traffic type so you can clearly see how the network performs.

Start with a small amount and run one simple campaign first. It makes it easier to see if the traffic is actually good.

Some networks may give lots of clicks but very little useful traffic, so conversions are more important than CTR.

Test one network at a time and keep the same landing page and offer. makes it much easier to see which traffic is actually better.

I think it depends a lot on your niche. One network can work great for one offer and be useless for another. Start small, test a few placements and check the actual conversion rate before scaling.

Dont judge a network by cheap clicks alone. Run a small test, track each source separately and see which one actually brings paying users.

Some traffic sources bring plenty of clicks but very little engagement. Track what visitors do after landing on your site.

ExoClick is worth testing imo, but it really depends on your niche. Start small and track conversions.

Absolutely, it's worth testing third-party ad networks that you believe they are worth the effort, and then carefully monitoring conversions to gauge performance and compare the quality of traffic that they bring to your site against Google Ads.

I think it depends on your niche. test 2 networks with a small budget and see which one brings real conversions instead of just clicks.
