The biggest affiliate mistake I made was choosing products I wouldn't buy

I used to judge affiliate offers mainly by commission, search voulme and EPC. It looked logical until I realized I was promoting products I personally didn't trust.

Once I started choosing products I could genuinely recommend, writing from acctual user experience and focusing on solving a specific problem, the content become much easier to create and the conversions made more sense.

Sometimes the best affiliate strategy isn't finding the bhighest paying product.

It's finding something you can honestly stand behind.

Not really if that was the case every affiliate will be promoting toilet papers and tooth pastes.
You promote what sells.
For example:
Clickbank has this metric called gravity.
You promote offers with not too high or to too low gravity.
So anything in between 10 to 100.
This a very well know secret to anyone who is doing clickbank affiliate for long time either knows or learns it the hard way.
Another one is , do not promote amazon affiliate because commissions are as low as 0.5% literally pennies.
Do not promote fiverr because it will only pay for bringing sellers. Fiverr also have offer for fiverr app download but it never approves.
Do not promote elementor because it pays only for selling its very expansive and shitty hosting.
CJ has a rating or 0-5 for every offers, promote anything in between 3-5.
Digistore24 had metric called percent cart conversion.
Promote any digistore24 offer with this metric.

Epc is a Fake metric. How is it not 0 for new offers.

agreed but I have sold products I didnt relate to but i got some info on them first because if it didnt make sense then I wouldnt promote it.

That hits. Promoting stuff you wouldn’t use yourself always feels forced and the conversions show it.

Sticking to products you actually believe in makes the whole thing way easier and more honest.

Gravity filters tell you what sells, not what keeps. I check refund rate and whether buyers come back after 30 days; offers with mid gravity but low refunds paid me more.
