godaddy intentionally hiding the cancel button

Godaddy makes auto renewal very easy and has purposely hidden cancel renew. It even says cancel domain to make you think its getting rid of the domain completely. They need to stop charging high renew rates vs competitors instead of this mess. Just a rant. I only use them to win auctions

You really should get your domains out of godaddy. The site is so shady and unethical. I signed up to BHW just to complain about how they removed my domain from my account and I had to get a lawyer involved to get it back. Bought hundreds of domains with them for nearly 15+ years and they lost a longtime customer. Terrible company.

Expensive domain service, terrible hosting. They don't really offer anything superior over their competition. They just mass market to the masses and are one of the oldest.

There are cheaper options for domains these days like namesilo, cloudflare and spaceship.

If you’re mostly just winning auctions there, transfer the domain out right after you get it.

Most other registrars are cheaper on renewals and way clearer about canceling.

Just move it once and you’re done.
