Seen a few people talk about it

CTR manipulation can be risky but organic-looking traffic strategies might work for local businesses. Quality and targeted traffic matters most.

Yes, running local search ads directly targets and boosts your Google Business Profile's visibility and CTR, which can positively influence organic ranking signals. Focus on keywords with high "near me" intent and ensure your ad copy and landing page are hyper-localized to the service area.

lol yeah half the replies in here read like chatgpt.

tried the ads route on a couple listings. you can get clicks on the profile pretty easy with local search ads, but paid clicks dont really count the same as someone searching normally, finding you in the pack and clicking through. what we saw was a small bump while the ads ran and it flattened once we paused.

what moved more was real people in the area doing branded and category searches, landing on the profile, then a website click or a call. slow drip over a few weeks. and it only really helps listings already showing in the pack or close to it, ads or not, proximity still wins.

Google says local ranking is primarily based on relevance and distance there’s no way to pay for a better local ranking.
