Facebook Spend Today

i have seen many people complaining about that meta has spend more then my budget or some say it spend more than their daily budget. i am running almost 80 ads accounts but i have never encounter this type of problem. curious.

Yeah this can happen sometimes. Meta Platforms doesn’t always spend evenly, especially if it finds a short window to push delivery. It can look like overspend in a short period, but usually stabilizes later in the day.
 
A 10k spend in one hour sounds like a massive glitch or a compromised automated rule. Contact support immediately, but don't expect much usually, this happens when Meta's algorithm goes haywire during a global update
 
This isn't a frequent occurrence, but I've seen it happen a few times. Did you run your campaign on the first or last day? Because if it's on the last day, Meta Platforms' system will usually try to spend the remaining budget quickly, sometimes not achieving optimal results. If the budget is almost depleted early in the day, there's a high chance there's a problem. In this case, you should immediately contact Meta support and send them your campaign logs for a detailed check.
 
I've encountered this situation before; I was so anxious that I immediately contacted MetaSupport, only to be told that Facebook had a distribution error.

I can only say that we were unlucky to get caught in this situation; Meta won't refund that money. I've experienced it before.
 
I had the same problem on last week

but 10k without sales? we are talking about $? what are u selling, aircrafts? :DDD

Occasionally, meta will encounter such issues. But it will be fixed fairly quickly. However, the real question is whether the money spent without achieving results will be refunded.

I noticed that each time they have some update, the situation goes bad for a while then goes good later.
 
This is not normal.
Likely causes:
  • Meta glitch / delivery bug → sudden spend spike, no results
  • Algorithm instability → especially if you changed budget or launched new campaigns
What to do now:
  • Pause campaigns immediately
  • Check recent changes (budget, bids, creatives)
  • Duplicate & restart if needed
  • Contact Meta support (you may get a refund if it’s a bug)
If it burned $10k in 1 hour with no sales → very likely a platform issue.

when this happens, immediately pause the campaign to prevent further bleeding and check if your spend limit was ignored
 
Meta seems buggy—pause or lower budgets to avoid wasted spend.

Meta is allocating our budget inefficiently.
I've spent a lot but haven't achieved good results.

for sure, this campaign will be under my close watch before we continue to proceed normally with it. at times meta may spend a lot within a certain period of time in case there are some alterations with delivery. however, spending so much more than budgeted with no conversions at all is something to investtigate further.
 
Meta is experiencing a widespread issue, and many people are encountering the same situation.to optimize costs and minimize risks, you should lower the budget as much as possible to be safe and avoid losing money
 
I think it depends on the campaign and how Meta delivers the ads. Sometimes it may spend more on certain days to balance things out, so I’d check the billing and spending limits first.
