So I had this idea to build out my own SaaS where it will scrape thousands of websites that use adsense, mediavine, ezoic and raptive to find profitable niches that are new, have high traffic and low DR and can be easily competed against. I did it for myself to find new niches but theres so much data I would never have the time or money to pursue every niche. I know there has to be other people looking for niches to build so I thought I'd just sell it as a SaaS. I have no following on any social media. I figured I would start with X and reddit and see how far I can get. My goal is to get 1000 users at $29/month.

I started with claude and had it build a dashboad. It's pretty simple and straightforward with nothing extra right now. They always say launch first and improve later.
Right now it has 386,683 sites in the database. I was able to get the DR and the similarweb traffic and age of the domain for most of the results. This is a lot of data for someone to sort through and find a good winning niche for their next website.

I launched it just a few days ago so no users or signups yet. I'm hoping to add amazon associates next but its going to be very expensive to get all the important data for that so I'm going to wait and see if people actually sign up. The only thing I don't like is the similarweb traffic which is very inaccurate. Getting the ahrefs traffic count is very expensive though.
I'll update every now and again when something exciting happens like the first paid user.

Are you planning to use the Similarweb traffic as a hard filter, or just as one signal alongside DR, domain age, and the ad network? If the traffic estimate is off by a lot, it could make some niches look much better or worse than they really are.

The idea is very good.

Best of luck.

it's basically a database you can search through and use to make your own decision. I think similarweb way overshoots the traffic estimate. It looks like this right now.

I spent around $25 on X ads so far. Testing creatives and copy to see what works. No conversions yet.

Honestly it looks good.

And I think the idea will work, transforming into a good business.

Let us know about how the ads are performing.

At $25 of spend with no conversions the sample is too small to judge the creative, so I would hold the copy steady until you pass a few hundred clicks.

Update: Got my first paid user today $29/mo. Adspend is at $51 so far testing new creatives. The website is nichepickers dot com if anyone wants to give some feedback for it

Nice one.

Keeping it simple, always works.

I like your website. Just suggestions:

- add free tier with access to X website data.
- pricing page
- about us
- keep the blog updated

I literally did this 2 weeks ago in less than 2h with claude and DeepSeek for less than 5$ one time fee..

I don't see a market for this pal. Sorry...

Edit: Proof:

I'm interested in your ad spendage planning.

Our company hasn't invested that much into paid ads yet, only alternate sites, and SaaS launch platforms like producthunt and similar.

Have you recevied any organic traffic from a specific ad workflow or site?

A little bit, people will click your profile and view your X page from ads.

You and I found it very useful so maybe others will too.
My thought too and the fact that you got your first paid user is also a prove that there's a market for that.
I will be following. Good luck to you.

This is a really interesting SaaS idea. Having 388k+ domains in the database already gives you a strong starting point. I would focus on getting the first few paying users before adding expensive data sources. Great work so far!

I spent around $150 on high dr directory backlink submissions so far. That should boost the SEO in the next few weeks.
