Same here I care more about where the traffic comes from and what those visitors actually do on the site than the traffic number itself
same here, raw traffic figures are quite deceptive. i would prefer 500 relevant visits doing something useful than 5k who bounce immediately.Same here I care more about where the traffic comes from and what those visitors actually do on the site than the traffic number itself
indeed, the raw number may be very high and yet mean nothing. in this case, the smaller targeted audience works better.Relevance and audience quality are definitely more important than just raw traffic numbers. A few visitors who actually care about the content will always do more for a site than high volume from an unrelated audience.
Relevance over Traffic numbers is more important to me personally. The contextual relevance of the link on the relevant page is always more important than the traffic.I’d also check whether the page linking to your site is relevant to the topic of your own page. Even if the website has good traffic, a link from an unrelated article may not make much sense. The context around the link matters too, not just the traffic numbers.
You can only guess at engagement on someone else's site unless they actually show you the analytics. What i can check is where the traffic comes from, and if a site aimed at one country pulls all its visitors from somewhere unrelated, that says enough on its own.I have started moving past counting traffic and considering the engagement rates and conversion rate and quality of the traffic sources before anything else. Just curious about what other people consider.
