how do you spot a guest post farm before you pay?

Check the site’s traffic trends, indexed pages, topical relevance, outbound-link patterns, and whether it publishes lots of unrelated paid posts. If every page looks like “sponsored content,” that’s a big red flag.

Trying to tighten up how i check these before handing money over. At the moment i look at whether the posts get any traffic of their own, how many outbound links sit inside each article, and whether the topics jump all over the place.

Trouble is a lot of farms pass that these days. They buy a bit of traffic, keep the design clean and the writing is passable.

What else do you check? mainly after the stuff that has actually caught one out for you rather than the usual checklist.
see the outbound link profile on ahrefs, and see whether they have links to a dozens different CBD, crypto and essay writing websites all in one week. when u finda an unnatural cluster of outbound links you will know for sure that it is a paid link factory.

Check historical outbound-link patterns, ownership changes, and sudden traffic spikes before buying.
