What are the best ways to get seen at the top of Facebook Marketplace as going into October 2026 ?

I've just been forced to dabble in this and i honestly am surprised on how much of a microeconomy it is .

I also notice there's a huge difference in responses and clicks some days, indicating I trigger something with the algorithim when I switch prices.

Educate and share if you have experience.

I've noticed people are even arbitraging Amazon product with this stuff

Use a concise title, offer a competitive price, provide a clear description, and respond quickly to messages. Selecting the right category and regularly updating your listing can help increase visibility.

testing is what i would concentrate on rather than searching for some marketplace hack. create several postings with minor variations in terms of photos, titles nd prices nd see which posts generatte impressions nd messages. after some time u will notice ur own pattern, particularly concerning prices nd posting times.

Marketplace is a goldmine if you get the rhythm down. The price changes basically wake up the algorithm. To keep the momentum going, cross-post your listings into 10–15 local buy/sell groups right after uploading. It injects immediate traffic signals into your post.

Why don't all the groups Im a member of show up for the 'share to group' opion?

That’s right; I’ve also noticed many people leveraging this method to earn extra income by selling products on Amazon. However, if you want to pursue this long-term, you still need to thoroughly understand the operational processes, costs, and Amazon's policies to avoid potential risks.

I’d also track the price changes against impressions and messages separately. A lower price might bring more clicks but fewer serious buyers, so looking at the full funnel could help identify whether the change is actually improving the listing.

What worked for me that made my listing on Facebook marketplace to get seen at the top is that I made my price lower, I didn't add too much profit on my price, secondly I respond to messages very fast and answer all messages and questions.

this book has some good tips on selling on Facebook Marketplace:

Try tracking each listing’s price, views and messages in a simple spreadsheet for a week. That should help you see whether price changes are improving visibility or just making buyers more likely to respond.

You need to experiment with various types of content to determine what works best for your specific niche. Every niche has its own unique tricks. there is no one size fits all formula.

Try optimizing your listing quality, pricing, and relevance to potential buyers.

To achieve optimal visibility and attract customers, you need to create clear titles and descriptions and respond to messages quickly.

To increase visibility on Facebook Marketplace, optimize your titles, images, and descriptions, and set competitive prices. Keep your listings up to date, respond promptly, and monitor view counts to make necessary adjustments. Avoid frequent price changes, as this makes it difficult to accurately assess performance.

pricing definitely makes a difference but I would also test the main photo. Sometimes changing just that gets more clicks. location and category matter a lot too. i'd track views for a few days before changing prices again :D
