my facebook marketplace is restricted. they are asking for id. apparently the id doesn't have to be government issued, it can be any kind of id like if you work at a hospital it can be your hospital id. anyway, i dont want to provide my real id. if i provide a photoshopped id, they can tell the pixels have been manipulated. and of course they can tell ai generated shit (synthid etc). so i am stuck. how do i get my facebook marketplace back? if i print a card on my home printer and take a picture of it, will they accept that? or they can tell it's bullshit?

Don't bother trying to fake it, Facebook's verification is pretty strict these days and they flag manipulated photos, printed cards, or anything that doesn't look legit pretty quick

Printing one at home and snapping a pic usually gets rejected the same way

Best bet is just submit a real form of ID they accept (work badge, student ID, etc. if it has your name/photo) or wait out the restriction and contact support, trying to force it with fakes just risks a longer ban or permanent lock.

Facebook's verification process is quite strict and frequently requires valid proof to confirm a user's genuine identity, so using fabricated documents is ineffective.

It is difficult to provide the information required for verification when setting up a new account yourself; instead, purchasing an existing, verified account is a faster, more cost-effective, and time-saving solution.

but that makes no sense. how is a real work badge different from one I print at home? how can they tell the difference? they have a database of all hospital badges? all bank badges? all law firm badges? makes no sense.

Well, I think that if you submit actual photos, the verification process will be faster and help expedite things; however, if you don't intend to use the account long-term, you could simply skip that step and use a new account instead

if facebook asking for identity verification not try using edited or fake documents since that can lead to more restrictions the better option use your real details and submit whatever accepted they allow through the normal appeal process

You can buy already warmed accounts with high trust ability to avoid id verifications

Personally, I believe that submitting actual photos will significantly shorten the approval process.

I wouldn’t risk a fake ID—it could lead to a permanent restriction. I’d appeal the Marketplace restriction and ask Meta about alternative verification options.

i wouldnt fake the ID, thats likely to get the account flagged harder; better use a legit accepted ID or appeal the restriction.
