My account was hacked. I need a refund for the amount that was spent.

Try Meta support for the refund, and if they dont help then talk with your card provider about the charge.
 
Call your bank and freeze the card so they can't charge anything else. After that, open a ticket with Meta support under unauthorized ad spend. If Meta refuses to refund it in a few days, just do a chargeback through your bank

There is simply no way, once your account has been compromised and used to run ads, there is no way to fully recover it.
 
Please go directly to the bank branch and request that they initiate the refund investigation procedures for the advertising transactions due to the card being hacked/loss of control.
 
If the charge wasn’t yours, contact Meta support ASAP and report it as unauthorized. Also secure your account and contact your bank to dispute the charge if needed.

Contact your bank as well as Facebook support and CANCEL your credit card in order to not be used anymore.
 
If the charge was not made by you, act quickly. Contact your bank or card company and tell them about the charge you do not know. Also contact the Meta support and explain that your account was taken over and the ad charge was not yours, Keep screenshots, emails and payment details in case they ask for proof. The most impotant thing you need to do is to first find a way to remove your card details from the account
 
The best solution is to verify your meta from another ID and from there, you can get your ID back very quickly by talking to them directly.
