one narrow niche or related subjects - which works best for blogs??

I am still trying to figure this out, but I believe I would begin with one subject matter and then introduce other topics which are closely related to the initial one.

I’ve been thinking about this too. From what I’ve seen, I’d probably start with one main topic so the account has a clear identity, then gradually branch into closely related topics rather than staying super narrow.

I’d start with one clear niche and build topical depth first. Once you have enough coverage, expand into closely related topics — it’s easier to build relevance that way than covering everything from day one.

I've been considering this while working on content ideas.
Do you concentrate on one particular topic only from the beginning or do u incorporate related topics from day one?
Just curious to know what really worked for you guys in terms of traffic generation.
it would be best to start narrow so that even google can get an idea of what ur website is all about nd from there u can expand outwards to other rellated subjects. the related posts will also help bring traffic back to ur primary web pages, forming a good topic cluster.

Firstly I identify one core subject matter and develop around 4 to 5 angles to support it, then the GSC takes care of rest.

I believe focusing in one niche is better because you will have close to exclusive information on it and therefore rank better.

It depends on what you consider a niche this day.

Before now, you can run a supposed tech niche, and cover tech, science, tech business, gadgets, internet, software etc.

I think what's considered a niche today is something like software, gadget, recipes, pet food etc.

You can starting with one narrow niche is usually the smarter move for a new blog.

It helps you build authority faster and makes it easier for Google and readers to understand what your site is about.

depends on how close other topic are main niche keep the site focused at first so google and readers know what the site about adding too many unrelated subjects early can make whole thing feel scattered

Start narrow, build topical authority, then expand into closely related topics that attract the same audience.
