its worth testing just keep an eye on watch time and new subs after the boost if those numbers stay flat then the boost probably not adding much value

I recommend not using it. Because it can harm your channel. So you can work to increase your channel views organically. It will help real people and engagement. Create good quality, and in the first 3-5 seconds, add the video hook to keep viewers.

That feature will only boost the videos you'll try to boost but not the whole channel and it's not useful because it does not help or push the channel to grow.
