I wanted to advertise my work, but i have been edgy bitter politically
critique and mock consumerism and endless things.
to prevent any issues people bring up if i develop followers, i got idea to delete stuff and change username. is that enough? or should i just make new acc? current acc is 1 year old anyways.

i don't think i offended anyone but my words choice was bad even if i was nice to lot of people.

It depends on what kind of work you do tbh. If you do something creative and are willing to stand by your beliefs if it ever comes up, that's just part of your personality and you'll be able to connect with likeminded people in your field. If you do like window cleaning or something dealing with the community that could turn some people off

Delete the posts you’re uncomfortable with and update your profile. If there’s a lot of old political content, a new account could give you a cleaner start.

deleting alone won't cut it, people screenshot and archive stuff, and old replies still show up in search caches. on an account that's only a year old i'd just start fresh, it's less hassle and keep the new one clean from day one.

Deleting past tweets and replies can help clean up an account, but it may not remove everything associated with the old activity. I’d also review profile info, connected apps, and any public content that’s still visible.

I’d clean up the old account first. Delete anything you’re uncomfortable with, update your profile, and move forward. No need to start over unless there’s a lot of old content.

Keep personal opinions and business content separate if you plan to use the account for clients.

if the old posts are really risky, id probably start a fresh account, but if theyre just edgy opinions then deleting the worst ones and rebranding should be enough tbh.

depends, you write "edgy bitter politically", was it more like insulting or just a normal opinion? – but anyway, i would delete the old posts you don't like, or start a new fresh account...

If you have a lot of content maybe creating a new account would be better. If not then yes you could proceed with deleting posts that politically inclined people might get triggered on, but you should do a thorough purge of the said content, completely, otherwise some or even all of your audience can view it.
