Is it okay to send a picture to ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, DeepSeek, Gemini, etc? Let's suppose you want to remove someone from your photo or you need an opinion about something.

Would you send a picture of your face to those AIs or do you think it's dangerous? I know there are people even doing video calls with those chat bots.

I specifically mentioned "AI chat" because I guess all of us already showed our faces to AIs, even without our consent. There are cameras everywhere and many of them are connected to AI systems controlled by governments and private companies for multiple reasons (most of the time they use security as an excuse to scan our faces).

But how about deliberately sending it to an AI chat bot, is it harmless or you wouldn't do that? Let us know your thoughts

They train their models on your data, so you will?/may? eventually see your likeness. This is the legal grey area. We don't know what privately trained ai model data, means! lol

i think normal photos are fine, i sent some before for editing. but i wouldnt upload anything really private, passport photos or photos with documents in the background. also better remove location data before sending. maybe nothing happens, but we dont really know how long they keep these pictures

i'm using gemini to calculate the amount of hairs on my ass, it's daily updated, for now it's 369, all time high was 512, unfortunately I can't install an API on my ass, but i can keep sending photos

about your face, it's already fully scanned and available for sale with your passport pics that you sent to verify a random proxy service in 2023...a good pack for 0.000001 monero on some belarusian forums

Nope, never given it that data.

Although AI is so ubiquitous at this point that if you've travelled on plane, visited any major city in the world or have any sort of photo ID with your government, you most likely have had your face scanned by AI or in some database being used to train an LLM to identify faces/identities.

I uploaded my face to an AI for an honest opinion once, and it immediately generated a link to a local therapist. Lol

it’s the absolute destruction of your self-esteem. The government cameras might be watching us...

Last time I did that it said "Unable to decode" so I uploaded my avatar instead.

I’ve seen people becoming more comfortable with AI conversations, but showing your face definitely makes the experience feel more personal. I’m curious what made you try it in the first place.

Yes, it exclaimed: 'What a gorgeous prompt!' and closed the connection after. Mfq..
